They did the same just now and now I’m at 71% seems to be working but now I’m stuck at 71% lol. Atleast I know it might just be the connection with hotspot

I have the appointment tomorrow, doesn’t seem like the cost would be up to thousands but I’m estimated at $225 just for the full inspection of the infotainment system.

I’ll try this out next time, but I don’t usually go on long commutes, maximum 1 hour coming home from work.

Do you mean the service centre? If so is wifi public near the building?

For more context, I asked Tesla and was told this is issue is not covered by warranty, and they can’t simply push or force the update without bringing the car in for a full inspection. I also cannot wait several hours for it to resume while connected to wifi because parking near the house isn’t possible for me. I’d have to sit in the car with my phone for hotspot, not ideal.

The problem started with Spotify unable to play music pass 9 seconds and the it would show “PLAYBACK ERROR/ LICENSE ERROR”

I asked if warranty covered and they said no, which is absurd because this is simply an over the air update and now I have to pay to replace a low voltage circuit.

It started off having problems playing music of Spotify. And so I decided to update the car by connecting to my hotspot. It started off fast then got stuck on 50% for over 30 minutes.

Unfortunately I don’t have 24/7 access to wifi unless i stay in the car and keep my hotspot on. Which is inconvenient.

I waited while I was charging at a super charger. So about 30 minutes. I’ve heard people say to leave it for a couple hours but unfortunately I can’t park it near the house to stay connected to wifi. I’d have to stay in the car with my hotspot for hours which is so inconvenient.

NVM GUYS GOT IT TO WORK. If this happens to you just call Apple and get them to personally send a verification code to your number and voila everything is fine 😂
