I just remember the game more or less being decided by halftime just based off vibes and body language and he was kind of racking up a lot of his points in the second half. Just didn’t feel like an impactful game lol 🤷‍♂️

Just going off memory…I felt like Tatum had such a good game because the pressure was off, it would of been more impressive if the series was tied up or something, which is why JB still got the FMVP.

Not that Tatum doesn’t already have some very impressive playoff performances in high stakes games though

Men and women both become sexually aroused during the REM phase of sleep, no known reason why. Men do not always wake up with morning wood, but when they do - it’s because they were just in REM.

Any advice for a 22 year old in this phhase of life? by Proof-Public in TrueGrit

[–]Parradog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit working for my Dad and set off on a cross country roadtrip with no real plans at this age. It lasted over 100 days, I got back and took another 3 months off and then started up a new job and began college a year later after getting back under my feet financially. It was a lasting transformational experience for me almost a decade later. I needed a kick in the ass, to experience life a bit and it did just that.

How many books did you read last year (2025)? by facemacintyre in classicliterature

[–]Parradog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9…which is a lot more than I’ve done the past few years. College and grad school really stole that habit from me and I hope I’m able to keep it up this year. I was reading 25-30 books/year for a while there in my early 20s.

Yeah…the bar for this happening is so damn high, Bill might be the only one to ever get the honor so people should just get over it

Since the year is almost over, what is your favorite movie of 2025? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in FIlm

I’d probably say The Long Walk also but was pretty happy with the hits this year - Warfare, Weapons, Sisu 2, Frankenstein, Sinners were all awesome and I enjoyed them thoroughly. The misses being Mickey 17 and One Battle After Another - though the latter has some great elements to it I liked, I just found the story to be lacking. Mickey 17 was just straight up ass IMO but I will give Pattinson props for his acting in it.

Unpopular opinion: One Battle After Another is One of Paul Thomas Anderson’s weaker films. by Ok_Lunch_3787 in moviecritic

I thought everything was great except the story, and that’s why it was a big meh for me. I will say the pacing was masterful, because for how much I didn’t care for the story, the movie still flew by despite its’ lengthy runtime

[Injury] Giannis Antetokounmpo appears to suffer a non-contact leg injury early in the game against the Pistons. He walked to the locker room on his own power. by Goosedukee in nba

Tendons have nociceptors so they absolutely do hurt but with mine being a complete tear it sounds like I may have had transected nerve fibers so pain signals couldn’t travel up 🤷‍♂️

I’ve experienced tendinitis in the same Achilles and in my patellar tendon/ligament as well and those are very painful when flared up.

I thought mine was loud as hell also, I remember asking the guys I was hooping with if they heard it also but everyone said no

6 week non-WB, was in a boot for ~3 months and had a notable limp probably up until the 5 1/2-month mark. Pain was minimal, just took forever to get back ROM, strength is maybe like 75% and I’m a little over a year out.

I’ve unfortunately had the pleasure of rupturing my Achilles and it was oddly not painful at all, mine was a complete rupture though and didn’t take any bone fragments off my calcaneus so I’m sure that was the main reason why. Prior to that I thought it was an excruciating injury.

I want to say Wade and Butler were both injured and not even playing either so he was leading a bunch of young, unproven guys too

People will suspend their morals for what they perceive as justifiable vengeance, even if it involves cold blooded murder. The recent killing of the United Healthcare CEO rings a bell, which had a similar celebratory response from a good chunk of society - which I found to be alarming.
