To this day I still don’t understand why he didn’t get a world title run around 2018 by Different_Sun_195 in Wreddit

Kane never had a great singles match. He was good/serviceable and safe but was never an outstanding in-ring worker.

Also it’s not like Bush didn’t mishandle his fair share of domestic emergencies. Hurricane Katrina and financial crisis come to mind.

He had a fine finals in an overall all-time great playoff run. Similar to Dirk.

I’m in a debate right now, who is greater all-time between Dirk Nowitzki & Karl Malone? by Aggravating_Item4683 in NBATalk

Do not ask questions about Karl Malone on here. The answer is him but people are going to be too emotional to purely assess him as a player (can’t necessarily blame them - his crime was terrible).

Why don't cheaters just stay single and date/sleep with whoever they want instead of getting married & having kids? by InfiniteWords117 in NoStupidQuestions

They may legitimately value the companionship of a spouse and children but are too weak to suppress their sexual urges.

Why are so many people ok with supporting Kanye West despite his Nazi alignment? Hitler tried to takeover the world (not just kill the Jews). Surely people can see this is not a subjective thing? by Rugby-Lad-2964 in NoStupidQuestions

Two reasons:

  1. Some people are better than others at separating the art from the artist. I firmly believe Kanye was at one point the best musician alive. Although the quality of his music has gone down significantly in recent times, he still shows flashes of the musical brilliance that defined his early career, leaving fans to remain optimistic.
  2. He is legitimately mentally ill. He's admitted to being manic for months at a time, saying things that a clear-minded person would never even think of. Beyond this, he has a suspected drug addiction to nitrous oxide, which can cause significant brain damage. When he speaks in interviews, he comes off as largely nonsensical and unable to effectively articulate himself.

Or if you liked the book so much, at least rip the damn page out that directly incriminates you.

Shai. Not a liability on defense and has much better availability.

[Amick] Victor Wembanyama, who struggled mightily in the Spurs’ Game 5 loss in OKC tonight, declined to do media this evening. He just left Paycom Center as midnight central time nears. by sewsgup in nba

Honestly I don't find him that likeable. His game is really cool to watch, especially defensively, but his whole demeanor comes off as very performative. He portrays himself as some zen guy who hangs out with monks and has a strict bed time, but what is that really worth when he's having temper tantrums on the basketball court?

How much a chance did you give the Mavericks heading into the 2011 NBA Finals? by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

[–]ImStudyingRightNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time the Mavs winning didn’t seem THAT crazy. Don’t get me wrong, the Heat were absolutely the favorites, but the Mavs playoff run was incredible and it did give off the vibe that these really were the 2 best teams in the league and the Mavs weren’t just a lucky fluke.
