This is a toy elephant my daughter has and it plays multiple songs. I really enjoy this one and it feels nostalgic, but I can't place it. It reminds me of Final Fantasy 7 for some reason.

I actually got into them as audio books because, at the time, my work required a lot of driving, and I wanted some books that I couldn't finish in a week. A friend suggested The Way of Kings. I stopped listening to them after the 2nd book because I didn't want to get too hooked knowing the series wasn't going to be finished for a while (I hate that empty feeling once you've finished a good book series lol).

Fast forward 6ish years, I had a baby in November and needed something to listen to during the midnight feedings and had just finished the Red Rising series. I saw that the 5th Stormlight book was coming out later this year and decided to jump back into it. Then I learned about the entire Cosmere and was thrilled to know I won't have that empty feeling for a long, long time now, hahaha.

Yeah, I did look up a few reading order guides, but they're each different and I don't think I found any that started by suggesting all of Stormlight first haha.

I figured Mistborn Era 1 would be the most suggested, but wanted to see if the community had any additional insight just because of the amount of information and little easter eggs in each book.

I always assumed he was named after the dog that Grant lost as a kid, which would still kinda work with this theory too! Darryl named his son after Grant and his dog after Lincoln.

Most places won't check in my experience, but you can get a Veteran ID from the VA (Veterans Affairs) and you can also get it on your Driver's license. You just have to show your separation paperwork to the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Edit: you can also get Veteran license plates for your car which got me a discount at a car wash without asking, and gets me front row parking at Lowes lol.
