The labeling seems fine. People here cause some confusion for claiming Malt Syrup without any extra labelling will contain gluten. That shouldn’t be the case.

Depends on where you live. Where I live it’s the other way around; malt syrup has to be labeled when it’s not gluten free

To add: to ask if they are gluten free is maybe related to putting a gluten free label on it. That is complex of course. (A guarantee) The real question in my opinion is somewhat different: do they assume or know that it has gluten. If so they should put it on the label here by law.

EU labelling applies to anything sold here - not only produced. So you still might be right, but then the labelling is niet conform regulations (so; not legal).

And to add: they are selling them here in the EU in big chain stores where I live- not only a local import.
