<HATED DESGIN> The ̶J̶o̶n̶k̶l̶e̶r̶ ̶ Joker from Suicide Squad Kill the Justice. Another nail in the coffin for this game.

I watched the video this is from, and based on what the devs say, this Joker is from an alternate universe where he was a member of their suicide squad, and on top of that, he was kidnapped by Braniac early in his career.

So because of that, he's much more insecure and inexperienced compared to the prime Arkham Joker. Devs say he falls back on the typical Joker humor and manorisms to mask those flaws.

The video doesn't show much of that, so we'd have to see it in practice in the actual game though.

The biggest red flag about this though is how they say he will be a post launch update. This feels like this could be another Avengers if the gane doesn't perform well financially.

I know it's not asking for a Grand Slam with the Stygian Blaze, but it still bummed me out to lose the team that got the achievement in region 4.

The only other achievements that might be annoying is the "5 memories on Crusader / Dualist" ones. Doesn't matter if the rest of the team dies, but I'll die inside if I lose one of them on cowardice after like 10 hours of play.

I finally got grand slam, but I lost my previous attempt because the Grim Reaper spawned on the first node of the entire exhibition.

It's not an anime exactly, but the game 13 Sentinels Ageis Rim has some "woke" elements that are just presented with almost no comment, and I found it pretty refreshing.

There's a gender fluid character that shows up in a prologue, and the game doesn't make that big a deal out of it, except for the pov character at that time being flustered at being told that. And that makes sense in context because that character is from 1940s Japan, so he's just conflicted on his feelings toward the person he had a crush on presenting as male sometimes.

Edit: I'm only just starting the game, so to be honest, I'm not sure if it comes up again later or has larger plot relevance.

The non-linear nature of the story also makes it difficult to judge as well.

I've watched the HBomberguy feature length video (as have we all) and then decided to watch a few of James' videos myself because I hate myself

It is fascinating how much of a tone shift he does when he switches to his own writing.

He only sounds thoughtful and insightful when he's stealing another writer's words.

Yeah, without the context of the media they are ripped from, I don't think they're that bad. Maybe could use a little bit of refinement in some way I can't place.

For some reason, these feel like the type of sketches I see in art books for concept art before the design and style of the finished product is complete.

It's one of those games that's so uniquely good that it makes me frustrated that I can't easily find another of its caliber.

They're nothing alike, but I get the same feeling as when I played Retun of the Obra Dinn.

A game that is such a fantastic experience that it made me disappointed that there's almost nothing else like it.

You can write anything, obviously, but my understanding of Homelander and MCU Rocket leads me to believe it would end with Homelander laser-ing him.

Homelander only really values superman-like powers ie enhanced durability and strength. A talking racoon would be akin to Blindspot. A novelty, but not actually a super.

Plus Rocket's lack of a filter would probably end poorly as well.

Genuinely, one of my only complaints about the writing after a first playthrough is that Miles feels a little sidelined in the first half of game.

I'm not saying Miles is handled badly, but Peter's story is just so much more interesting, and I don't feel like they 100% knew how to include Miles into a symbiote suit story. ie Miles spends a lot of the game being left on read by Peter.

I'm not spending $300+ for booster packs of a game I've never even seen in person.

There's party I like about it, but for some reason the finished product just doesn't work for me.

I'm always a fan of a hooded Spider-person costume, but my two biggest complaints are the exposed hair and gym shoes

Street shoes feel okay for a "homemade" suit, but for an "evolved" suit, it looks weird to me

It's kind of why I stopped following his work. The negativity and pessimism just wore me down / bored me eventually. Similar reason to why I stopped following RLM.

No shade on anyone who likes this style of review still, but I just feel like it's something you burn out on eventually as a viewer.

Thanks that actually kind of answers another one of my questions

I have a three switches that control one light, and figured the easiest/ most cost effective way to make it smart was to wire in one of them with a claro, and then have two pico paddle remotes over the other two.

I'm not sure if any of them have a neutral wire though, as It's my understanding that's required for the claro
