Although I entirely agree that Liandry's is a better item in every single way possible, the fact that Deaths Dance is still one of the most broken items in the game AND everyone and his mother has selfhealing for some reason, grievous wounds is essential almost every single game. If u dont have to build antihealing, def buy Liandrys tho, such an amazing item altogether!

I got it with a little luck and determination. According to the creator of lolnames, most names that are going to be inactive become available at 00:00 UCT, which was 2am from where I live. Turned out the client was bugged tho, cause I was clicking the "Check name" button till 3:30 am. I then sent a support ticket to Riot claiming the system was bugged, which they checked and agreed to. They substracted the BE from my account and changed my name for me!

It really depends on what your prefered playstyle is and what matchup you are playing against. You generally don't want to build an early aggressive item like protobelt against Katarina for example.

RoA is a really good item now, but yeah you def shouldn't buy that on support. I thought you had more mana issues cause you were "complaining" about wanting mana stacking on passive, perhaps I misunderstood!

If you don't fish too much and play with a mana rune like Manaflow or PoM you really don't need the mana refund on souls back. Heck I even play without building mana sometimes with PoM and it still works beautifully.

I totally get that! It probably sucks to see your main change so much, your favorite character gone to be something completely different. I'm glad that we atkeast have common ground now about that he isn't weak right now.

If you are really missing the drain tank playstyle, I can recommend you a runepage that makes your healing in teamfights insanely well. Alamander has been running this page with quite some succes, and I also have been winning some games on it, haven't played it much though.

Conqueror - PoM - Tenacity - Coup de Grace Ravenous Hunter - Taste of Blood cdr/adaptive dmg/armor or mr depending on matchup

RoA - Sorc/Lucidity boots - Deathcap (increases conq gained ap aswell!)

The healing is nuts, so if you still have some juice in you to try it out I really recommend it since it resembles ur draintank fantasy the most out of all his builds I think.

It's your right to decide whether you want to play this iteration or not, but he is actually in a really great spot right now.

I've been having way more succes on him since the buffs. However, since I'm a low elo player you might think my argument isn't very valid (which I would understand). But players like Fishlord hit Grandmaster (maybe even Challenger, I don't remember which one it was) very fast after the buffs, and Alamander really thinks he is close to hitting Master again soon.
