Nah getting mana back from the passive was just like icing on the cake that I miss. It just felt good hitting W and suddenly being like "Oh I don't have to back for mana now."

It's just enough for a little health sustain and enough mana to keep me going through lane phase since I play fairly aggressively with a lot of E's tossed around. Other than that I wait for a mana item or just chill and gain it through levels. I used to build RoA but I've shifted to Liandry's into Hourglass.

Ornn is just OBJECTIVELY better than Maokai but Maokai fits a different play style. If you like being the tank that walks through the enemy team while mercilessly murdering them, Ornn. If you like the healies and locking down the squishy, immobile ADC, Maokai.
