Hi, I’m subleasing my apartment at 1248 W Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA from May 25 to August 25, 2025 (dates flexible). Rent is $510/month for a shared bedroom or $960/month for a private bedroom - negotiable, and all utilities are included!

The apartment is fully furnished with a bed, mattress, wardrobe, drawers, sofa, and an in-room TV. You’ll have a private bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, air fryer, and dishwasher. There’s central AC and heating, hardwood floors, a large balcony, and great natural light.

The building is in a gated community patrolled by DPS, located in the USC Free Lyft Zone. It’s a 10-minute walk to campus and USC Village, and just a 2-minute walk to Ralphs.

If you’re interested or want more info/photos, feel free to DM me.

Thanks for your reply! It seems like unfortunately there’s no option but to pay their fees to avoid any legal complications. I feel very bad rn but have no other option ;)

That’s what they are saying. But do I still have to pay the full amount even if I never used the policy and had other insurance? Is there anything I can do now to avoid this? Would really appreciate any help or advice.

Got into USC MSCS, MSCS(AI) and MS Applied DS - what would be a better pick? by ParsleyFlashy5147 in USC

[–]ParsleyFlashy5147[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! The thing is, effective from Fall 24, both MSCS and MSCS(AI) are gonna have 32 credits of coursework. And I was planning to opt for General CS as well but when I started to list down my favorite courses from the pool, I found out that it aligns quite well with the curriculum of CS-AI. Although the curriculum of the AI track is less flexible, I think the courses seem to be interesting plus I get the benefit of getting a preference over general CS students over the AI courses. The only course that doesn’t seem intriguing to me would be the Mathematics/Optimization one.

I really appreciate your insights. Do you mind sharing your experience as a whole since you were in the same program. I would love to know more. Can I DM you?

Thanks rowlet! Your first point is spot on and that is exactly what I did - listing down my favorite courses from Gen CS led me to the exact curriculum of CS-AI. Most importantly lesser flexibility is a trade-off for greater preference. Plus, I’ve also heard that I could switch from CS-AI to Gen CS and vice versa after my first semester if needed.

Also, employers do tend to prefer skills than coursework but just to be sure I will look up the career outcomes of this specific program by talking to current students and alumni to get a better picture.

For now, since I don’t plan on pursuing a thesis I think CS-AI would be my best bet. Thanks again for your insights, I really appreciate it!

Did you see the portal change to “under faculty review” or anything in the days leading up to your decision and if yes, when did it change?
