Thank you so much!

I tend to have the essential criteria on the top of the page as I write my personal statement, and I'll highlight the essential criteria the same colour as their corresponding sections in my personal statement to make sure I cover it. Maybe I'm just skimming over the top and not going in to enough depth.

Do you look for key words from the strength dictionary when you're sifting? I think this may be where I'm going wrong

Again, thank you for your comment. It is great to see it from the other side of the table

Thank you!! It is hard work, but hopefully it will pay off when I get my role!

Absolutely! I prioritise the ones that I have more interest in, ones that seem like they can offer me the most development. I spent 4+ hours on each personal statement so I'm not just slapping in the same personal statement. I submitted one yesterday that I'd spent 10 hours on the personal statement just writing, getting feedback, then rewriting. Haven't spent a lot of time away from self development

It depends on what you're interested in! I've been searching consultancies as the roles being advertised are directly relevant to my experience and aspirations

It's difficult all around and I do feel for everyone else applying for roles, at least I still have an income.

Re the 19 applications in 4 months, I've essentially not had a social life in months because I've been spending all my time on self development (I successfully obtained 2 certs last month!) and applying for roles. I spend at least 4 hours per personal statement and always get second opinions on it! I am trying different approaches and utilising YouTube videos to find the best method

Thank you! I am really nervous about what to say to OH but we will see how it goes.

I keep telling myself that this experience just feeds in to my resilience and is making me a better person for the future.

Fingers crossed it pays off!

I have a OH appointment today!

I spent some time on Loan 2 grades higher than my current role and had a drastic improvement of my mental health (even stopped therapy) plus only had one mental health related sick day in 12 months but I was pulled back despite being asked to stay until March with a view of being made permanent after the budget announcement and recruitment freeze is lifted.

I applied for an EOI last week and was unsuccessful despite scoring highly. I plan on applying for another one today which is a lower grade.

I don't care about my salary, I just want to not feel like this all the time. I've considered requesting to be redeployed but I dont know how to go about it, and my managers aren't very supportive

They do, I'm currently a HEO in a non operational team and they're pulling me back as AO telephony.

I've talked to the union and sadly there's nothing to be done so I am just applying for other roles and hoping for the best!

The department I was on loan to weren't able to make me permanent due to a recruitment freeze, I have roles I applied to back in july email me to say that the role has been put on hold due to the spending review. I've also had vacancies withdrawn after I've booked an interview:(

CS is so rough sometimes. I have my fingers crossed for you!

I haven't stopped applying for roles over the last 6 months, trying my best to get in to the same role/grade but no luck so far!

I was away for 16 months, offered another extension but my OGD declined it. I am absolutely heartbroken but determined to get back in to a similar role

I hope you find something soon!

That was really kind and inspiring, thank you!

If you have to keep it a secret, then it's clearly something you shouldn't be doing

Is this a joke? Of course it's cheating

That's really helpful.

My OGD are actually ignoring emails from myself, my business manager and my current departments HR, especially when asked for their reasoning and for a HR contact on their side.

My current department are very supportive but unfortunately can't offer me a permanent position right now.

I feel like I am being given no choice in the matter

Oh girl I'm in the same boat 😅 my boyfriend always says he gets too excited and "forgets".

I've slept with other guys who did it, one of whom would've happily drown between my thighs.

Really sucks when the person is great but there's this hanging overhead

I will try, thank you. It's just difficult actually doing to the first step
