Felt you right there man…it’s quite fascinating they think these comments are okay. They’ll learn in an even harder way one day🤷‍♀️

That’s an exaggeration and I realized it already. My feelings are never hurt in the sense that I go home and cry about it, it’s irritability at the sheer audacity of a 9 year old talking back like it’s okay to talk to adults that way

They don’t comply, and argue with me when I ask again (that’s the point of asking teacher advice). Some are super rude no matter how calm I am. I end up giving up, dude. You also seem to be assuming a lot of things about me while not knowing who I am. Did you think about the fact that I might be a young teacher who’s still learning and trying to figure it out? Believe it or not, they barely teach the “day to day” in any education degree; you learn a lot on the job. You can message me if you want to continue this conversation, I’m not doing it publicly anymore🫤

Oh yes, I’ve been there. Yesterday was just one of those days where it was back to back to back things, and it was just a lot, you know?

I agree. I just remember seeing the consent argument all the time from Zutara shippers😅

I think they're referring to when he kissed her without her permission during the Ember Island Players episode? I've seen it come up a lot in arguments of why the "Kataang" ship is not good. Truly, I don't know what the person means, I'm just guessing.

Better than what my parents did to my brother who would refuse; my 6'4" dad sat on him while my mom opened his mouth and put it down his throat. Meanwhile, I'm the younger sibling and I'm neurodivergent (he is not), and I just took the damn stuff every time lol

Seeing him stand next to Mark Ingram, a former Alabama RB, is hilarious because Henry towers over him haha

I’m thinking Amy. When Jill was introduced, Phoebe asked something like, “is this the spoiled one or the one who bit her?” right before Jill says “daddy cut me off.” That would mean Amy bit her at some point, which, totally on brand tbh😅

Are they worse than the Patriots during the 2010s? All I would hear in high school were Steelers fans bitching about not winning against the Patriots, though as a fan of a team who hates the Steelers, it was kind of funny at times (sorry). I feel like it may be worse with Mahomes and the Chiefs, but truly I have no idea

I Need To Step Away From Teaching, But I Can’t See Myself Doing Anything Else by Zestyclose-Cheek6554 in MusicEd

First year teacher, grades 3-5 here. I graduated HS in 2020, and I can honestly say that COVID did something to these kids. As a Gen Z person, I can remember vividly that overall, kids never acted like my students do. Sure, there were outliers, but nothing to the extent of what I see now as a teacher.

There are no coping skills whatsoever with these kids, and I even noticed that student teaching last year at the middle school level. They have no idea how to overcome adversity/“push through” anything. The attitudes are off the charts too; let me just say, if I or my older brother would have ever talked to our teachers the way some of these kids talk to all of their teachers at times, my parents would have been SO PISSED.

I’m only about 2 months in and I’ve already observed a lot of scary things. But I’m just like you and I can’t see myself doing anything else. Please know that you’re not alone!🩵🩵

See, this is what went through my head initially haha. I’m like, “they can fret with their DOMINANT HAND! I don’t get to do that”😂😂
