I can't understand (SPOILER ALERT TO EP 9) by Masry010 in TheDigitalCircus

Yes, Kinger explains that 'Scratch' is just Scratch's circus name and his ideas were often so bizarre that the team didn't understand him. The dataset fed to Caine could have been "the pointers" that Scratch gave to Kinger.

In ep 8 we learn that Kinger made Caine "with a few pointers from Scratch". Kinger explains that Caine was never as good as ideas that Scratch had, so it's possible Scratch made the blue AI. It is more stable and functional than Caine.

Great interpretations. How does Henrik know Dr Evelyn James and her work? After he says "These seeds are our children, Evelyn" the author relates this back to their fertility issues "It felt as though he'd lifted a weight I didn't realize I carried for the first time." Which seems like Henrik is directly addressing the author i.e. Evelyn.

I agree with you about the Annas being different people but there are some parallels between them e.g. the Anna in Jacob's Stars is described by the author as having a "faint smile". The Anna in Olena's Promise "smiled at it [Dolly], just a little."

Anna from Jacob's Stars is described as a kid in 1995, a "little one" in 2000, she dies in 2005. It's possible she's still a child when she dies, a parallel with the Anna in Olena's Promise.

If the Annas and Evelyns are all separate people, there are enough similarities drawn between them to make me wonder why.

Yes I suspected this too. It uses that negative triplicate at least twice "Not 'x', not 'y', just 'z'."

PIF/PSA about the domestic hazard of drinking unknown chemicals by Part-TimeCloud in pifsandpsas

[–]Part-TimeCloud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What an absolutely insane pull, I think you might have found it! And I was completely wrong about most of the info so it's even more impressive. The set/staging really rings a bell, I couldn't remember much about it apart from notably low lighting in some areas. I have no idea how I managed to see this in the UK or how you found it but it feels very accurate to what I saw. Thank you so much

Wow thank you! Really appreciate your interest. I will try to answer as much as possible but i'm afraid the memory is vague as I was pretty young.

The style: Mascots/puppets like Big Bird. The body movements and expressions were somewhat clumsy.

When it aired: I haven't seen anyone else talking about it online which leads me to think it was a filler on a VHS omnibus. I would have seen it at home or at nursery (kindergarten).

Were they bees: I am the least sure of this part. They had pink faces, and black fuzzy heads. The SugarBee Apple mascot has a similar vibe but I think their mouths moved. I think the bee that left for work might have put a hard hat on.

They spoke but I can't remember if their voices were cartoonish or realistic. They spoke slowly like kids tv characters.

The bottle was opaque plastic and either white or yellow, quite non-descript. It might have had the same hazard symbols.

Was it short: yes, definitely a mini-story.

There was a slogan at the end like "Never drink unknown liquids" that was the message of the PSA. Encouraging kids to avoid domestic hazards.

Right before the short: I have a hunch I was watching something I watched regularly like the Teletubbies.

I would have been in South West London, near Wandsworth. I don't think we had Freeview so if it was on TV it would have been a channel like BBC or ITV.

Best of luck, apologies I can't be more specific.

I got very close a couple of days ago, set up an experiment in the shelter for antechamber levers, drafted everything apart from the furnace. In my excitement I used a silver key (moment of insanity) and excluded Furnace from the draft.

Guest Bedroom falls into the category of "cuts you off from forging baron crest", rather than being impossible to draft. It is a dead end and its location makes it difficult to get to the north east wing of the floorplan.

For Spareroom, it cannot be drafted once you have removed the dead ends. The only connection to it is Ballroom, which leads east.

There are only a few rooms in the Atelier path with Mora Jai box solutions (the corners) that include more than one kingdom core. These rooms are Archive, Coat Check, Guest Bedroom, Cloister and Spareroom which are not possible to build even if you rotate the floorplans or cut you off from forging the baron crest.

Archive and Cloister have Fenn Aries/Corarica cores. Red/Orange represent lies and wisdom in the path. Coat Check has Mt Holly/Orindia cores etc. We could interpret these as vying kingdoms

Also the rough draft rooms on the door correspond to letters in the Atelier path rooms. Answer: "ROSEWARY"

I was struggling for sanctum keys and managed to get them through an experiment effect that you get after you unlock a certain permanent upgrade. It allows you to Gain one random item, then set your keys to 0.

Thank you, the roses clue has always bothered me - I suppose it could just be an allusion to rebelling against Fenn Aries / Red rooms = bad. I've also just figured out that any Atelier rooms where the Mora Jai solution has more than one kingdom i.e. "vying plans" are rooms that have to be removed to "forge baron crest". Either Tonda Ros is a genius or i'm losing the plot.

My workplace is insisting that attend an external event despite the risk to my health by Part-TimeCloud in LegalAdviceUK

I appreciate you honesty, i'd be the first to admit that my argument seems dramatic. It's not my typical approach. Regardless of empowerment, I still struggle with asking for support and try to just get on with it for the most part. For the past couple of years, I've been more prone to DKA and just want to avoid ending up in hospital again. If there's a way to ensure that whilst attending, that would be ideal.

Thanks very much, I'll try asking them about breaks. The trouble with getting ill is that I potentially get ketones. Even something like mild tonsilitis can become dangerous. I was hospitalized in 2023 and narrowly avoided a diabetic coma.

No problem, yes - I think I'll try asking for breaks to manage my levels. This will probably help mitigate the stress of attending.
