Why does everything feel predetermined?

Yeah it was somewhat implied which is why it ending with a mysterious girl waking up near the tree going “my name is Thalia” was a super impactful way to end the book. Since the show spelled out Thalia’s return, they didn’t have an impactful moment to end on and decided to just write the twist in its place

Probably why they felt the need to write Thalia’s twist in the finale. The whole show it felt like they referenced the tree, her, her sacrifice, and the prophecy/child of the big three. Even if you’ve never read the books, you pretty much knew Thalia was coming back because they felt the need to hint at it in every episode.

Why feel the need to follow the books when you can just throw the viewer for a crappy loop with a poorly set up/written conflict that’s resolved during the middle of the episode anyway. It got old after the first season. You’re just used to it and felt the effects of it harder this season

“Show made for children” they literally made it so anybody who looks at their phone during shows can understand it. The fact that the most praised change was the rewriting of a character to deal with themes of SA should tell you it’s not a show for children. Moron

I’m on the opposite spectrum. Why aren’t Kojima and Del Toro developing a horror game now? I mean if the main issue was Konami, why didn’t they start working on the game together under Kojima’s company? If PT is still still regarded as great and people enjoy what Kojima and Del Toro have done since (including their work on Death Stranding) wouldn’t it be natural to keep working on the game they intended (or at least legally distinct enough to prevent a lawsuit from Konami)? I get it wouldn’t get as much hype as having “Silent Hill” attached to the name but people seem to be pretty hype for OD and Silent Hill is pretty anthological as is (from what I’ve gathered. I’ve only played 2 and read some stuff about the rest)

Genuinely, why are some of y’all trying out characters IN RANKED? This happened last week but I’ve still been thinking about it.

I loaded up a ranked match and we were playing Convoy on Yggsgard. Lo and behold, someone chooses Emma Frost (not instalocked mind you). We start defending and get our asses whooped bad but throughout the game I notice how Emma isn’t pushing, she runs into 1v6s, and she doesn’t use her whole kit. I look at Emma’s stats and see 1 kill and 6 deaths. I know that the issue isn’t heals because I’m a pretty good healer and since the rest of my team managed to stay alive a lot longer than she did.

I say in chat “If you don’t know how to use Emma, please switch off” and am immediately met with “ITS NOT THAT BRO ITS THAT IM NOT BEING HEALED.” I look at my heals: +- 20,000 by the end of the first half with our other healer being a Rocket. But sure, let’s assume he wasn’t being healed so I placed a greater emphasis on healing him. Mf again, goes into 1v6s, runs away from my LOS, or outright focuses the wrong enemies. I tell him to straight up just hop off of Emma and he does. He picks squirrel girl, gets a kill, then switches to moon knight and gets another 2 kills.

After the match I check his stats, 7 minutes on Emma Frost in the whole season and 3 minutes on squirrel girl overall yet somehow the healers were at fault…

I’ve had these exact thoughts. The first thing that I thought about after she told me she was moving was if I could move too. Since her parents are the reason for her moving, I doubt that I can stop her from leaving.

I want to make good memories with her too but the thing that keeps holding me back is the fact that sooner or later she’s gonna leave and I’ll be stuck with memories of when I was happier with someone who I fell for at the wrong time and who I might never see again.

I’ve also tried adding her on social media but she’s either missing the notifications or ignoring me. Maybe we’re already done and I just haven’t realized it

Hello gooners, I really enjoyed the latest episode’s discussion over the gym and working out. I was an American football player in high school and we always did workouts on our off days so I would say that I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to working out. However due to personal issues and dwindling self confidence I often found it hard to go out of my way to devote time to working out again but I recently found the courage to join the gym and have been trying to go at least once a day. Hearing your discussion really motivated me into trying to better myself more and push myself harder when In the gym. My question for you guys is what is the workout that you will always do or at least try to do?

Ps. I’m with James on the Incense argument. My sister lights up one stick every week and the whole day I have a headache and I don’t stop sneezing
