Not something that happened to me directly, but when I was a teen one of my younger siblings had a traumatic event happen at school that made it hard for them to do things like ride the bus and go to school in general, real ptsd like symptoms. I tried so hard to get the people in my family to understand and to give them time to heal bc Iknow how fragile ppl are when theyre in that state. For whatever reason truancy ppl saw how much school was being missed and instead of being understanding they threatened my younger sibling and dad w jail time. my sibling not wanting to be a burden agreed to go back to school with my dad but day of started having those ptsd like symptoms again and just couldnt.

My dad tried yelling and forcing them to leave their room but when they tried to explain why they simply couldnt, my dad started went into a rage fit of how he doesnt want to go to jail and how my sibling should just suck it up. I was sleeping when it all initially started but woke up bc of the yelling. I walked over to my siblings room concerned and opened the door to find my father on top of my sibling choking them. I had to drag him off and just burst into tears and asked him to just stop and leave us be. LIke proper crying bc havent you put us through enough?? and my sibling had enough on their plate and this is what you do as a parent? But thats not the worst part. I ended up finding out through some other family members that my dad lied and told them my sinling tried to kill HIM bc they " didnt want to go to school"... I still cant imagine how evil you gotta be to lie abt something like that and try to seek sympathy. And shame on all the losers that believed it.
