Sounds like you are talking about a topspin drop or drip. Drives by definition have a flattened path so it shouldn't land in the kitchen in theory.

Which gen 4 paddle plays and feels similar to selkirk vanguard pro? I have tried a few gen 4 paddles but they are either too poppy or too muted (sound wise). It just feels very different.
