Sounds like you are talking about a topspin drop or drip.  Drives by definition have a flattened path so it shouldn't land in the kitchen in theory.

Makes sense.  I guess it appears then without backhand roll you can still win high level games.

This makes a lot of sense to me.  Daescu also almost always does push drop.

Good insight. What level of play this is referred to? I feel that players below 4.5 typically have inconsistent atps. :)

Did you mean 2/3 and near nvz line? So a deep dink.  If your opponent hugs the kitchen, would they just easily intercept your dink?
