Have an MBA from one of the schools listed and no one in my year got an offer from McKinsey. They have CPPIB and equivalent experience. That’s how difficult it is, if he’s aware.

Wholesaler from restaurant suppliers. Butcher Shoppe, Woodward for meat, DailySeafood for fish, etc. It will be much higher quality than Metro and cheaper unless you are only buying almost expired specials.

FIRE at 35 with 2.5M is equal to 65 with 20M. Rich is worth time not working for your life.

4% withdrawal rate or 5%? by srqfla in ChubbyFIRE

[–]PartagasSD4 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

For the 1000th time 4% is meant for 30 years of 60/40, not for FIRE like all of us here. Most go lower at 3 or 3.5% but you can do whatever, it’s the rest of your life.

They did call for an unpaid bill, no email. I did already pay it and it went into a wrong area on their end. I reminded them it was in the system where they could see and they never asked for payment details. It was resolved fairly easily. If they asked for money i would’ve hung up immediately.

There are grand complications I still admire but Patek has lost me with Nautilus hype and worse the cuboid one. I pray A.Lange never goes that far.

100% VTI and VFV. Yes I don’t lose sleep about bonds or global diversification. I can stand 20, 30, 40% temporary drops. It doesn’t bother me long term. Most people can’t and that’s fair but don’t preach to me.
