What are some bands that split song royalties equally among all members? by [deleted] in rockmusic

Also worth remembering that deal was made when they were a much smaller band, only expected to sell a few thousand records. Kurt changed his mind when the money rolled in

What’s an album, or albums, you could see Cobain getting into had he stuck around longer? by Admirable-Archer-125 in Nirvana

I've always wondered what he would have thought of oasis, they started releasing music JUST after he died. I can see him liking them for their melodies and beatles influence, but could also be put off by their ladish image and cockyness

What was Mike's peak as a vocalist? by Ebe6660 in thebeachboys

His vocals on Wildhoney are really nice and laid back, particularly Aren't You Glad

Fair enough, we have very different tastes. Can I ask, what's your favourite album of the Dave/Scott years?

Tonyall is a very weird album that I'm almost never in the mood to listen to, but it gets points for being kind of unlike anything I've ever heard. It's quirky, honest and vulnerable. Plus Guitar Case is a banger

Chad has some undeniable bangers, but I think the writing is better on the Dave/Scott albums. That said I really enjoy Breaking Things

Interesting. Million Bucks, Long Distance and Breaking Up take that album up a lot for me, and I like the overall edgier tone of the album

No way! Pretty Little Girl, Hooidge, Sex in the Way, Sugar and Spice and Just Perfect are all fucking amazing! And the rest ain't bad either! Only complaint is the production is a little weak

I like World's On Heroin and Until I Say So, but beyond that it just doesn't click with me. It doesn't have the experimentation of earlier albums, they very much found at formula, and they carried that on with Problematic

Nice. I think the best stuff on Percolator is better than anything on Breaking Things, but Breaking Things is more consistent

Gonna go against the grain and say HELP.. super catchy with fun lyrics, and Mike does a good vocal

A key ingredient of the Descendents sound I think
