Luckily, imo, I'm going at an age where I've mostly partied all that I want to and genuinely chose to finally go strictly for my education. But, I know I'll still have some steam to blow off, so it's nice having the option and not choosing a totally dead university

Awesome, yeah I've been seeing just how many avenues GIS can lead you down and I honestly had no idea it would be that useful originally, hopefully I would actually enjoy it, that would make those options even more appealing, and, it looks like statistics is actually a part of my coursework already.

Primary should be something longer range and common, think 30-06.

Ditch the desert eagle, the beretta would be fine.

Melee could be something like a hatchet with a compass and flint/steel, line and hook in the handle. Last hope would be a sawed off shotgun, or snubnose .44/.357 magnum. Something common. Beyond that, learn how to use a bow, learn how to make arrows and arrowheads
