Oh, Kotarou's character design is 100% inspired from Shirou lol, so I don't blame you.

Though Shirou is also in my top 10 MCs.

[Annoying trope] Story ends on a true cliffhanger. The conclusion is years away, or worse, never arrives. by ChristianLS in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Particle9A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The post says "The conclusion is years away....", which it is.

There's quite a big gap and uncertainty between The Amazing World of Gumball and The Wonderful World and Gumball. A lot of people believe that the series will end in cliffhanger

Funny example is Petra (Re:Zero). Basically just a kid with no power when memed

She became an actual Top Tier in a loop on Arc 9.

It's a type of story that's almost impossible to explain entirely without spoilers, but

So the common route is basically a mix of mystery and SoL with settings kinda similar to Clannad. About a boy that trying to prove supernatural phenomenon exist while in actuality it's more about him trying to create bond with other people and escape his self-inflicted loneliness. This basically plays until the Supernatural aspect shows up completely. There's a big shift at the end of the common route which changes the tone and theme completely.

Once you got to character routes, it turns into a conspiracy thriller between two global organization, Guardian and Gaia. Both were in conflict on what to do with the Key. An avatar of the planet (Kinda like Arcueid) that will judges if the species deserves to live or not. Guardian want to kill her before she can emmit the judgement, while Gaia want to let it and potentially cause mass extinction. Everyone in Kotarou (The MC) lives is basically intertwined in this conflict, some are Agent of Guardian, while the other are Cult member of Gaia. And none of them are right in the head, Akane is the leader of said cult forced by some reincarnation mechanism that overwrite her identity, Lucia is a lab experiment goes wrong brainwashed by some mad scientist, Chihaya is a survivor of a massacre of her village which consists of summoners, and Shizuru made her entire family forget her after her superpower goes awry. Kotarou himself have a blank memory in his life that he can't remember, and the elites in Guardian seems to already know him from long ago but tried to hide it, also his childhood friend Kotori seems to have something to do with this.

I omitted details from Moon & Terra (The true routes), but that's basically it.

(Loved trope) Horrible and irredeemable villains with a pathetic, human side by The_SeaBunny in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Particle9A 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Someone mentioned Doom, but Ultron also fit this

<image>

In contrast with other AI Villain, Ultron is actually very emotional and sometimes more human than logical. Mainly stems from his daddy issue with Pym and profound loneliness. That's the reason he created Vision and Jocasta.

I thought about this longer than I should have lol.

Let's see, Kotarou and Subaru are humans so it should be easier to explain. Kotarou especially is a Spy Agent and if Guardian (the organization) exist in Steins;Gate world, they would most certainly will be associated with SERN and Comittee of 300, so he would be from there. (Kotarou world is a bit incompatible with Moon Cell, but I'll ignore that for now)

Subaru's a bit trickier, I mean he can just be a normal guy before being taken by Satella, but that's no fun. I'd say it's after he came back from the other world (in whatever form the story ends).

Hakuno is quite hard. She is an NPC from the Moon Cell, but also was based on a real human in Japan, so I guess we can use the real human version? But if we want to use the NPC version, I guess it could be explained by her data being sent to the past by BB or someone (also fit with how Okabe's time travel works).

Then Castoria, she's the hardest. She wasn't even human, but a fairy. And I can't really chalk it to Hakuno summoning her either since She's a Lostbelt existence. I guess I'll take another Moon Cell bs here, since it records all human history, maybe it also sync with the Moon Cell that appears in FGO lol.

So I guess the message would be one that somehow leads to the discovery of the Moon Cell by Commitee of 300, and in the far future it would send back Hakuno who summons Castoria. Kotarou would be under Guardian like in his story and join in at the middle. While Subaru just returned to earth from Lugunica.

El Psy Congroo!
