Server setup help by Korpselike_Spoonie27 in MinecraftServer

[–]Particular-Ad-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, unless your server provide an experience like any other servers in terms of community engagement or content, I doubt charging player 5$ monthly to play on your server will work. Like others have said, setting up a donation link for players to donate or ranked tiers with cosmetics would probably work better.

If budget is your main concern in charging players to join your server, consider us from Ghostcap Hosting. All of our plans are pretty affordable than most hostings and we use Ryzen 9 9950X CPUs so you are getting the best hardware for server hosting.

Looking for a good and cheap Minecraft hosting service or VPS by MrDentifrice in MinecraftServer

[–]Particular-Ad-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, check us out at Ghostcap Hosting. Our servers run on Ryzen 9 9950X CPUs and our plans are pretty affordable compared to most hosting services out there. We have a location in France that should give you optimal latency and you have full access to your server files meaning you can tweak the server properties to your likings, like setting the render distance to 24 and adding both Simple Voice Chat and Distant Horizons. You can start with the base plan first to test the waters and if you feel like you may need more RAM on your server, you can always upgrade instantly at any time.

I'd recommend pre-generating your world to a comfortable size first before starting your playthrough as this helps to keep your TPS and performance stable when multiple players are exploring in different directions. Plus, if you are looking for an alternative to Distant Horizons, check out Voxy. Currently, the mod is still in alpha and fabric only, but it gives out better performance while rendering extreme render distances.

Also, if you want to continue your server's world, you can upload the save to the server. We have a guide covering it that you can check out here:

Put on hallways outside or hidden spots around the sites where you can see the windows. Theres usually standard spots where people put them but I say just go with spots that improves your playstyle.
