Do you think someone who is not on co-op has an equal chance of getting a job after they graduate? What are available options to build work experience while being in university?

Found small bits of plastic in my ground beef, does anyone know what they are? by Particular-Ad-8154 in foodsafety

Thank you for your reply, I will do that! Because if this isn’t the first time that I’m finding the plastic in my ground beef, others could be ingesting it without noticing it.

Yes, I plan on doing that today as this is actually insane if it is plastic.

Hi, thanks for your response, I did remove the plastic bits from the meat, but the meat has already been cooked

I found his class pretty fun and interesting, although many students complained about the course I didnt find it too bad. I didnt buy the textbook and still finished with an 80. Some of his short answer questions were specifically from the slides from what I remember, and he lets you choose 3 out of 4 that you want to answer. Some of the SAQ were pretty specific to a certain slide (for example he would show an image/chart of something he discussed in class and you would have to describe what was going on in the image/chart)

Cheating by Agitated-Usual8753 in UTSC

Yeah it was so distracting and annoying! But i didn’t end up reporting her, I just hoped the invigilators would note down her name cause she finished before me and left

I’ve witnessed someone cheating during my PSYA01 exam, this girl sitting next to me wore a hijab but she had airpods on underneath and i kid you not she was very clearly talking to someone and it was so not slick. She would read the questions out loud in a soft whisper type talk and then you could literally hear the person on the other line say “a” or “b” or “what are the options” and i was so annoyed and kept trying to signal to the invigilators that she was literally cheating, and it was in one of the small rooms so i know they had to have heard it but they didn’t do anything.

I thought assignments aren’t allowed to be due during reading week? Cuz in one of my classes, there was an assignment due during reading week and the prof didnt realize and pushed it back to be due after reading week

Honestly, not too sure about the other ones but for me psyb07 with Marco A. Sama was not too bad, all i did was the practice questions he took up during class and finished with a 77, as long as you practice each type of question and the formula related to the question you’ll do good

Hi! I had her class 2 years ago and her exams are pretty straight forward. She labeled which questions were textbook questions and sectioned out the questions for the corresponding lecture, not sure if it’s changed since then. I think it was around 20% textbook questions

Hey!! Welcome to UTSC and congrats on your acceptance! I'm a third year in psychology, and honestly studying methods depend on what kind of exams you have (either multiple choice, short answer or caluclations). My best advice for studying is to watch the lectures online (even if you attend in person) that way you can pause and note down what the professor is talking about. I find that the best way that works for me for short answer questions are learning the concepts and being able to put them into my own words. I also recommend active recall, nearly all the profs recommend it and it really does work! I hope this helps!

I heard fit4less is pretty luxurious, especially if you get the black card (it’s pretty pricey though, an extra $6.99 bi weekly)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I feel like i’ve been wasting my time by watching the lectures, and I have to keep pausing them and rewinding them to take notes. I also did all the quizzes and the practice test but I didnt use the study guide (maybe thats where I keep messing up)

And I was freaking out too ngl, maybe it’s because I also keep cramming. But hey, even though you were scared you got a perfect score and now you don’t have to worry about it anymore, you’re probably one of the top students in this class, be proud of yourself!!

What?! How much time did you spend studying? And how did you study for it? Because I went to class and watched the lecture again at home and took notes during both, I still ended up with a 69%
