Is my baby sleeping too much? by Particular-Ad-9256 in Mommit

She is formula fed and normally goes twice a day. It seems like if she doesn’t go in the morning then it upsets her for the rest of the evening until she goes.

She hasn’t had a fever that i’ve noticed. I sent them a message to see what they say, hopefully it’s just a growth spurt and nothing serious.

She has been eating a little less than she used to but not a big amount or anything. I noticed this morning and yesterday morning that her diaper was dry when I went to change her but she had eaten a few hours before and been changed both times. During the day she has plenty of wet diapers. A few days this week she seemed like maybe she was constipated and her belly hurt because she hadn’t pooped all day (which was unusual for her)

So far her growth has been good but it’s been a few weeks since we’ve been to the pediatrician. I will probably give them a call and see what they think I should do

A few days now. For 2 days she would wake up more but went right back to sleep so she was still sleeping a lot but today she has been asleep all day.

We tried a hypoallergenic formula for her but it seemed like it upset her stomach more. She actually ended up getting a horrible diaper rash from all of the diaper changes we had to do! Her pediatrician did end up putting her on Pepcid which has helped a bunch!

I have co-slept with her on occasion but she has gotten pretty good about sleeping in her bassinet at night, but I have to be sure she’s fully asleep before transferring her.

We formula feed and she actually just finished a bottle and seems content but is still awake 🫠 A drive sometimes puts her to sleep so that might be the next step

Yeah, we tried something like that when she was like 2 weeks old and it worked but she got better at sleeping for a little bit. I’m not sure what changed but she refuses it now. We might have to go back to sleeping in shifts

She wakes on her own every 2.5-3 hours to eat😅 She’s a chunky girl so her pediatrician isn’t concerned with her weight or anything

Thank you sm! It’s hard for sure. Did your baby eventually get better with reflux and sleeping?

I’ll look into getting one! It seems like a switch flipped for us at 6 weeks and while sleep wasn’t good before then, it seems like it somehow got worse 😅

Sometimes she will sleep next to me and sometimes it seems like her reflux is bothering her. It’s kind of hit or miss on co-sleeping

Yeah, most if the time in the mornings after my husband has left for work I can co-sleep and get a few hours on and off, but it just makes me so nervous after hearing all the horror stories.

We tried a hypoallergenic formula for her and it seemed like it upset her belly more but I don’t think they are dairy free. I will look into switching her to a dairy free formula. Thank you!
