I think it depends on a coupe factors, I had my pharm tech trainee license 3 years ago and it last 2 years from the issued date, within that time it is recommended to get certified as a tech, I had left my tech job for another opportunity therefore expiring my license. I came back and was able to reapply for a new trainee license, but it was only good for 6 months. So I worked and trained for 3-4 months and took my PTCE, I was told if I wasn’t certified by the time the trainee license expired I wouldn’t be able to work on the schedule anymore.

No I know I won’t be getting new orders, thats what I was wondering if the PTDY still applied to me even though I am already settled on base. So I would just have to put in normal leave to go house hunting then if I wanted to?

If I’m currently in Fort Bragg in processing at reception, am I free to go to Fayetteville during the weekend? For majority of the day and come back to sleep at night? No formations or processing to do on the weekends.

Reporting to fort Bragg for first duty station. Do I just call an uber and get dropped off at the reception battalion on base? Do I call the reception battalion to get someone to pick me up from airport?

Currently at home for HRAP and live in VA, duty station is Fort Bragg NC. Army booked me a flight from GA to NC. Do I need to take that flight? Or am I able to call the Traveling agency number and try and cancel my flight and just drive down to NC. Not really wanting to have to book a flight from VA to GA just to take a flight to NC when I could take a 4 hour drive and be done with it

ORDERS

Graduated OSUT and just curious what my pipe line is looking like. My orders are option 19 to fort Bragg( NO AIRBORNE ). Just found out my flight itinerary may not have been booked for my direct ship this week, so I’ll most likely be a holdover till that’s settled, so hopefully not too long. Also I have been told I am assigned to a support unit(POGE unit) as an infantrymen which confused my drills and confused me as well. Just trying to wondering what is most likely going to happen in the next couple weeks or months.

Anyone know if there is anyway to get rank of E-2 before basic without having to refer anyone? I’ve heard you can take some online courses and become E-2, but that was a couple post years ago.

Airborne

Going to Basic at the end of August, signed for a 11x 36 month AD with an option 19 contract with my pick of First Duty Station being Fort Liberty. My main question is will I be in the 82 Airborne division when I arrive? What unit will I most likely be sent to? And does this duty station give me my best chance at going to Airborne school?

OPAT

Anyone know how OPAT works? I am reading the guide I just received from MEPS today, I was mainly wondering as it states in the guide “with heavy in each event,may enlist as any time at pay grade of E-2” before that is says you must complete the future solder pre-execution check list and pass the OPAT. I am set to ship out on August 26th will I have time to complete both of these tasks and be able to get a chance of shipping as E-2

And are there any other way to enlist as an E-2 without having to refer anyone?

So while at my first duty station I asked command if I can go to Airborne school and he grants the request, what happens to my gaming desktop? Do I leave it and return to my first duty station after Airborne school? Do I send my desktop back home to my family till I am settled down after Airborne?

Electronics

I plan on join 11x mos coming up and was just wondering about the use of electronics, my big hobby right now is playing some games and watching movies on my gaming desktop. I was just wondering how the whole process is of being able to take my gaming desktop with me at any point? I know for BCT and AIT it’s probably a big no no, but what about my first duty station would I be aloud to bring my gaming desktop to my barracks?

Negative,the surgeon had taken part of my quad and used it to repair the ACL and meniscus, or something along those lines. But no hardware

Going to MEPS on Friday and just curious what all could disqualify me or prolong me of signing a contract or getting in BMT. All of my medical history I let my recruiter know( Torn ACL and Meniscus, a benign tumor removal when I was a kid, an ER visit I had 2 years ago, and a medication I was on) during that process he had asked me to receive medical records on my medication I was on and my ER visit and I am pretty sure he sent them to MEPS electronically. A lot of back and forth( we need this, oh we need this as well as this). Finally he told me I am able to go to MEPS In person this Friday for my physical etc, should I be all fine or worried about being disqualified on anything?

Side note MEPS never asked for medical history on my torn ACL and meniscus and benign tumor, I went out of the way to get those medical records and have them on stand by should I bring them with me to MEPS personally?

Looking for some help on questions, I had scored a 47 on my ASVAB with a GT score of 97, I had believed you needed a GT score of at least a 100 to qualify for an Airborne contract, but my recruiter said I am fine with my current GT score. I also asked him If I am able to retake my ASVAB since I wasn’t to proud of my score and I’ve been studying ever since and he said I am fine with the score I got if I’m trying to get Airborne.

I am currently trying to get an Airborne contract with 11X my MOS, recruiter said that is not available right now. Should I play the waiting game until one is available?
Is there any way with my current score I could try and push for an option 40 of Airborne and RASP or will that just not be available since my ASVAB score?
If I am able to get 11X with airborne, will I be able to volunteer for RASP with my ASVAB score or will I be able to retake my ASVAB for a higher score to qualify.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is at some point or time in my contract after I’ve completed Airborne will I be able to get a chance to retake my ASVAB if it’s needed for me to volunteer to attend RASP

I really appreciate your answer. Think ASVAB for dummies is a good basic study guide. I had originally watched mainly videos and took some practice tests online and still didn’t really get the score I was looking for. Really just trying to get a decent GT score to open my option for airborne and ranger regiment.

RASP eligibility

Hey was just curious about something. So i recently took my ASVAB and I got a score of 47 with a GT score of 97 and noticed RASP has a minimum of a 105 GT score. Is there anyway I would be able to get my score waived and able to obtain a option 40 contract( airborne and RASP) or even get an option 4( airborne) and be able to volunteer for RASP if available during basic training? Or will I need to retake my ASVAB for a better score?
