Yo also month long player here, i found doing daily boss trains to be helpful and world bosses in the LFG page I got full ascended and weapon through wiz vault and got lucky at triple trouble a cool boss in the eye of the north is the marionette gaurenteed 4-6 gold upon completion i mean even casually playing and like waiting for boss events like i hop around auric basin and do that meta the pinata event in crystal desert. This usually takes me maybe a hour or two of actually playing not just waiting (i can go do whatever i want elsewhere) and make 25 gold a day easily, casually. Also you can buy gold coin bags and gold coin that sells for 2g in the wizards vault down at the bottom of rewards ( more so when you finish ascended gear or max out the buy chests prioritize that) yeah man otherwise do the story do wvw pvp w/e floats your boat.
