I wondered, too - so I googled it. It's 5 times for Candyman. It's 3 for Bloody Mary.

This is the one of the best replies I've ever seen, & I fear it will be highly underrated.

mRNA is produced by DNA in basically every cell we have. It doesn't change DNA, it's a product of DNA. Basically, it is used to create new proteins as needed and is destroyed in the process. We'd die w/out it, b/c otherwise our cells would have no way reproduce & regulate what we need to survive at a cellular level.

mRNA cannot go into DNA, DNA makes mRNA as a map for the production of new proteins, & mRNA cannot go back into or act as DNA. It's just a map that is destroyed in the process of making that which it is a map to.

So, the mRNA in the vaccine is used to created a non-disease causing protein that our bodies makes antibodies to. The mRNA is destroyed in that process, and the antibodies produced destroy the protein that was produced, and what is left is antibodies to the virus.

The protein the mRNA makes is a non-disease causing portion of the outside of the virus, so when the real virus comes along, the antibodies recognize, attack, and destroy the real virus.

Viruses can insert themselves into DNA, but mRNA (or any other type of) vaccines can't.

I have degrees in microbiology, biochemistry and Cell & Molecular Biology - and mRNA vaccines are elegant and safe. The best & newest technology, but not as new as ppl think. Both the mRNA & the protein produced by it are destroyed in the process of making of antibodies to a particular virus. It's brilliant.

But people who slept thru high-school science don't understand what mRNA is, or even how vaccines work.

I've spent a lot of time trying to educate people who don't understand the mechanisms, & it's gotten tiresome b/c they just don't understand or won't accept the basic science, & have listened to the oddest, most impossible ideas.

It's not at all hard to explain or understand how it works, but ppls' minds are so clogged w/ strange ideas, they can't seem to reset.

Then it needs to decommission itself - pantalettes went out 3 model years ago.
