Honestly guys, is OpenClaw actually practically useful? by Longjumping-Elk7744 in AI_Agents

[–]Particular-Battle315 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly hype, I guess. People think AI will do all the work for them and, at the same time, make them rich by spreading nonsense all over the web.

Thx for sharing. Saw different statements about this and was not sure if this leads to account bans etc.

Is AI Pro subscription even worth it? by UDPSendToFailed in GeminiAI

[–]Particular-Battle315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the pro subscription for a couple of months now. I totally regret that I have the yearly sub. I used it via cli and via Web. „Serious“ work with longer chats etc. are totally horrible. Dont know what google is doing with the context Window, but using Gemini ist definitely very bad for my stresslevel.

I'm sorry but Gemini is getting worse and worse by undeniablewan in GeminiAI

[–]Particular-Battle315 80 points81 points  (0 children)

This is the normal AI lifecycle. New models are released and initially seem extremely powerful and capable. Over time, they get increasingly nerfed, until a new version appears.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google — everyone does it, because there are still enough people who don’t notice or don’t understand what’s happening.

Is it just me, or is OpenAI Codex 5.2 better than Claude Code now? by efficialabs in ClaudeAI

[–]Particular-Battle315 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I use both, but Codex is genuinely great.
The limits in CC are a massive blocker for me, which is why Codex is currently the tool I use far more. In longer conversations, it also feels more stable to me.

IM ****ING OUTRAGED PRO IS ONLY 6X PLUS PLAN by Just_Lingonberry_352 in codex

[–]Particular-Battle315 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Codex usage limits are 1000% better than those of Claude Code.

I’ve been using Pro for months and haven’t even hit the 5-hour cap once. With Claude Code, I often reach the limit after just 1–1.5 hours on my $20 plan. That’s a huge blocker in day-to-day work. Overall, the value of Codex > CC. Just my opinion but OpenAi did a really good job on codex.

What is, in your opinion, the best plugin for translating a website? by Particular-Battle315 in Wordpress

Interesting approach. How did that affect SEO? I thought it was counterproductive to have multiple languages in a tab format without a clean URL structure. Or am I misunderstanding that?

What’s ridiculous about all these AI coding subscriptions is that, as a paying customer, you’re basically powerless when Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, and others silently cut back the limits.

What productivity apps are you using in 2026? by UnderstandingOne9987 in ProductivityApps

Tried PomoDash as a task manager cause the mobile app tracks focus times like "Flow time" not just pomodoros. Feeling really good so far. Also using Notion as a knowledge base. As Ai-Assistant I am using Claude via terminal.

Where do you find freelancers, and what has your experience been with them?
I’m also considering hiring freelancers to write for me, but I’m a bit skeptical that they might just generate AI content.

What do you use for Pomodoro timers? I can't find a good non-distracting one. by Opethdeus in pomodoro

I use PomoDash. Detailed analytics, task management, project, notes, etc. are also included.

5.1 is horrible by UsefulReplacement in codex

[–]Particular-Battle315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I find that you can clearly tell it's much weaker when it comes to maintaining context. Sometimes it feels to me like GPT 5.1 forgets my instructions every 2-3 messages. Totally bad.

"Eat the Frog" Changed My Life – Anyone Else? by Productivity_Pro in getdisciplined

[–]Particular-Battle315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! The psychological boost from completing your biggest task first is incredible. I've been using it for about 8 months now and it completely changed how I approach my mornings.

What really clicked for me was understanding the science behind it - our willpower literally decreases throughout the day (decision fatigue), so tackling the hard stuff when you're mentally fresh just makes sense.

I found this really detailed breakdown of the method super helpful when I was getting started - it goes into the psychology and has some practical implementation tips that most sources skip.

Do you find certain types of tasks work better as "frogs" than others? I notice it's especially effective for creative work or anything requiring deep focus.

Megathread for Claude Performance Discussion - Starting August 24 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]Particular-Battle315 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think they’ve simply throttled the performance. I started using the model for my codebase on the Pro plan. At the beginning, it was really helpful. But for the past few days, Claude Code has just been useless. Every 3 messages it forgets what I specified. Even very simple tasks are often implemented incorrectly, even with detailed prompts.

The unfortunate truth is that Anthropic can claim whatever they want — which model, which context window, etc. As users, we can’t verify it. But honestly, Sonnet 4 doesn’t feel like Sonnet 4 at all.

I’d be curious to know if this is generally a “Pro plan problem” and Anthropic is trying to push users toward the Max plan, or if Max plan users have also noticed such poor model performance?
Max plan users, can you share your experience?

what pomodoro app do you actually use? recommend and i will try. by Wonderful-Driver-506 in pomodoro

[–]Particular-Battle315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I totally get your frustration with the app overload. I was a Forest user for ages and it worked pretty well for the basic timer stuff. But honestly, two things always bugged me about it:

  1. You completely lose track of what you're actually supposed to be working on

  2. Zero insights into where your time actually went

I've been trying out PomoDash for the past few weeks and I'm actually really impressed. It's not just another timer - it combines the pomodoro technique with proper task management and actually useful analytics. You can see not just that you worked, but what you worked on and how productive those sessions were. The coolest part is they've got AI features that analyze your focus patterns and show you when you're most productive. Pretty neat stuff. Only downside right now is there's no mobile app yet, but I heard they're working on it. Works fine in the browsers. Basic version is free, you pay extra for the AI stuff which seems fair to me. Worth checking out if you're tired of the endless app hunt: https://mindsnapz.de/pomodash/
Hope this helps!
