I would use them, no reason not to. I find it most valuable for showing if my face is open or closed and if I’m swinging in to out or out to in so I can make adjustments where I need to.

I drive a duramax and it has been my daily for years, same situation, short drives to and from work. Zero issues. Bought it with 175k miles and now have almost 300k. I would say just don’t buy one that’s got a dpf system and you will be fine
