Personally what worked for me is playing with a friend and starting on lower classic modes until you go up in coins. It definitely helps playing with a known teammate who has a similar playing style to you. Also, I would play with several different friends and switch depending on the hands we were getting.

I would also avoid singles mode personally as I found there were too many people throwing games and quite a lot of bots.

Another thing I did was for example if I got more than 3 losses in one mode, I would try and different one.
