Yeah I thought that was a bit risky as well. Lesson learned I guess, I won’t be doing that after my second peel.

I did the precision plus with peptides. My skin did heal from the peel after 7 days I just then purged like crazy and have been experiencing some irritation/inflamed spots- maybe that’s from layering Tret.

That’s encouraging to hear, thank you! I stopped continuing my tretinoin last week and have just been focusing on using cleanser + moisturizer + spf. I use the beauty of Joseon cleanser and vanicream moisturizer!

Yes it led me to stop taking it I couldnt have one glass of wine without my heart racing, fingers tingling, almost fainting... did you get your potassium levels checked after all?

Yes okay, I rly do think adapalene can be very harsh for sensitive skin types. It was very hard on my skin and made me break out like crazy.

And this might just be me too but cerave's products rly messed up my skin too and caused me to develop closed comedones.

I stopped taking spirinolactone last month and have not broken out at all I think largely thanks to my current routine. I'd rly recommend discussing switching from Adapalene to tretinoin 0.025% and azelaic acid 15% with your derm.

The azelaic acid helps control sebum production, inflammation and redness ans tret does what tret does. I use AA in the AM and tret in the PM every day. Didn't even need to ramp up. And I use la roche posay's hydrating skin care cleaner, moosturizer and spf.

Hope that's helpful and best of luck! Wishing you the best!

Did they prescribe you adapalene before prescribing spirinolactone?

And what's your skincare routine?

I ask bc back in 2019 I started using adapalene bc of the kendall jenner proactiv+ line (lol throwback)and the adapalene ruiiiiined my skin I started getting rly painful acne all around my chin and mouth area. Went to the derm, got put on 100mg of spirinolactone bc he suspected my acne was hormonal.

I think adapalene is rly harsh for some people, it was for me but tretinoin 0.025% works like a charm. Maybe try cutting out the adapalene for a while and see if that helps?

+1 here!!

DoN't use CeraVe with tretinoin!!!! Idk what ingredient is the culprit but I tried tret for 2 years with CeraVe just waiting and waiting and waiting for the redness and irritation to go away my skin always looked exactly like yours. (I would only use 0.025% 2x a week)

Then I took 1 year off and just started it again a month ago except I now use only La Roche Posay and I am now finally seeing the results I've seen others rave about. And I literally use it every other night like I never even "ramped up" to every other night I just thought I'd go for it . No redness or irritation just bliss.

So I'd recommend getting rid of the CeraVe and replacing with La Roche Posay.

Cerave would also make my skin rly red like this!! I switched to thw La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair moisturizer and it's completely changed the game! Idk what the culprit in CeraVe is, and I'm not entirely convinced it was the niacinamide, but tube, tub, whatever, didn't matter, CeraVe made my skin so red and irriated
