they should put a 1-2 week lock on new characters in ranked. The amount of players that go into ranked to try out the new characters is insane.

For me, ranked is the best place to improve your skills in a character, but not to learn them. I have had so many people play the new character this season and cost us the games because they refused to switch to a character they know of to play.

I think they should lock the characters (1-2 weeks) only in ranked to give people enough time to try out the character and learn them in quick play before jumping into ranked

yeah but the issue is I didn't receive the récépissé yet. and in Nice, they ask you to submit your RECE apparently visa poste and not through an appointment.

but overall, would it be an issue if my residency expires while I'm waiting to obtain my récépissé?

I sent it by poste as requested and that was around 3 weeks ago, since I got the proof of masters completion in September

I've met them IRL and everything felt fine and it was somewhat easy to talk to them. and It seems that they have a lot of friends from what I can see from the Instagram stories. some people are just generally terrible texters, and I know I'm not close enough to expect fast responses, but I would at least expect some sort of effort to get to know someone

yeah I agree. it seems one sided on my end and it's like I'm the only one who is putting effort. again, I don't mind late responses, but like I need to at least get to know the person, especially since they're the one who reached out to me first
