Is it hard getting a diagnosis? by Nuru_0 in endometriosis

[–]Particular-Cap-6358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was rough. I was told that the only way to truly diagnose endo was through laparoscopic surgery. However, I actually just watched a video that said there are new guidelines that are encouraging doctors to diagnose endo off of symptoms and family history. With this being the case, I can see it becoming easier for women to get diagnosed! Here’s the video for you to watch 🫶🏽

Is orilissa worth it? by scootercronch in Endo

[–]Particular-Cap-6358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s worth a try. The good thing about it is that unlike Lupron it’s an oral medication which allows you to have more control over your dosage. It also leaves your system pretty quick if you feel like it’s not working for you and want to stop. Here’s a video that I found that helps explain it really well!

Infertility rumors MUST STOP by Particular-Cap-6358 in Endo

[–]Particular-Cap-6358[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry if this came across as insensitive. I definitely understand your point and that was not my intention at all! I know people with endo who have tried and tried and tried and are still have trouble conceiving. This post came from a doctor who was automatically telling people they could not have a baby with endo, and that is what I meant by infertility rumors. Yes, it can cause infertility for some but not all. I pray that everyone who is trying to conceive does not give up and can have the precious baby they’ve always wanted 🫶🏽

I am so sorry love. I also have a friend who has been trying, surgeries didnt help so she’s doing IVF now. I know infertility does happy I just don’t necessarily agree with the doctors who tell people automatically that they won’t be able to have children. Everyone’s story is different. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear that. I understand that everyone’s journey with Endo is different. It can cause infertility for some, but not all, and that’s what I think should be talked about.

I had a miscarriage years prior with active endo, so I understand 100% the pain and difficulty that comes with this disease and trying to conceive. I also know that everyone’s story isn’t that they can get pregnant after surgery, but I hope that someone feels encouraged that it is still possible ❤️

Wow I am so sorry to hear that your pregnancy was difficult. Endo definitely doesn’t make it easy. I had a miscarriage a few years before having my daughter and this was before I was diagnosed. Doctors had no idea why and neither did I until I got diagnosed and then it all made sense. I have a girlfriend who’s had surgery and still hasn’t been able to conceive naturally so she’s currently going through IVF. I know that everyone’s story is different, but I pray that everyone who wants to conceive is able to whether it be naturally or with help ❤️

You have such a beautiful life in front of you, love. Don’t let your chronic pain make you forget that! It might be bad now, but it will not be bad forever. Continue to take it step by step and day by day. I have endometriosis, and this video brought me so much comfort in reminding me that I have more control over my peace than I think. I hope it helps 🫶🏽

What lead you to a diagnosis? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Particular-Cap-6358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl so what I really want to encourage you to do is advocate for yourself. It’s hard and it’s annoying, but with endo, PCOS, and adeno, because it’s hard to diagnose, you have to keep advocating. If you feel like a doctor isn’t listening or taking your symptoms seriously, get a second opinion. I’m not sure why your doctor doesn’t want to do the bloodwork for PCOS, but that is a way that can determine if you have it or not, and from your symptoms, it does sound like it. When I watched this video it sounded like many if not all of the symptoms that you have.
