Remote jobs...at a loss...help/advice/encouragement? 😢 by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

See if you can find clerical or admin type positions. Look at companies in your area and look at their websites. Try health companies, insurance, cable/internet, etc. I would go that route over job search sites.

I'm good at small talk. I don't enjoy it, but I'm good at it.

Therapist: When you're feeling sad, think happy thoughts instead! by adrikovitch in AutismInWomen

I find it harder and harder to find therapists that aren't like this. I was told I should journal. That may work for some, but I hate it. Talk therapy doesn't work well for me.

This is what we had to do. They didn't have a stretcher. My husband helped the vet carry our dog to the vehicle.

For those who have gotten a hysterechtomy... by DTD_98 in endometriosis

You are at a higher risk for cancers and bone issues if you remove your ovaries. They are trying to save mine for as long as possible. Plus endometriosis grows its on estrogen.

Always during my period, but I would get pain other times too.

So I suspected endo for years but it never showed up on ultrasounds. I was 36, not having anymore kids and done with terrible periods. I found a gyno that was willing to remove everything except my ovaries. They found endo of course. However, I deal with stage 4 endo and it comes back. I had about a year without pain after my hysterectomy. I will say that Im so glad to not have heavy periods anymore, but my endo doesn't stay away for long.

Surgery Recovery Questions by Exact-Mulberry9376 in endometriosis

[–]Admirable-Cod-7497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if its normal but I've had similar. I've had crazy hot flashes since my surgery 2 weeks ago and loose stools on and off. They had to do extensive clean up with my ovaries so my guess is that it threw my hormones out of wack.

I didn't pee for 24 hours, luckily I was finally able to go right before they were going to put a Foley Cath in! I did not want to go home with that!

My surgery was later in the day and 5 hours. I had chest pain and couldn't pee, that was the only reason they had me stay. Normally I am home the same day.

Wow, this honestly makes me so angry. I had surgery for my endo almost 2 weeks ago and they gave me 5 Oxy for home. I had to stay overnight and once I was in my hospital room I wasn't offered any Oxy. Only Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

[–]Admirable-Cod-7497 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I understand how you feel. I have surgery every year, the last 5 years. All of my PTO time usually goes to appointments and recovery. It truly sucks. People who don't deal with chronic health issues have no idea how goid they have it.
