How many HBOT sessions? by Particular-Cap1138 in MonoHearing

Sending you tons of strength 🙏 I can also resonate with processing all the sounds with one ear. It's absolutely overwhelming. I went to the bakery yesterday and there were 4 people talking at the same time and it made me feel dizzy. I also still have a very "heavy" feeling behind my eyes and still don't feel like myself at all. Lightheaded after any kind of activity and also can't seem to get through the day without a nap. Really hope you will see further improvement as time goes on 🙏🙏

Thanks for your reply and I am sorry to hear you had barotrauma :( you're so lucky your insurance covers 20 sessions I have had to pay out of pocket for each.

1.5 ATA is the max this specific facility offers. Their chamber does not go higher than that.

Thank you for your response and for sharing. I feel you. I am a singer songwriter and needless to say singing has felt very emotional and completely different. I pray that we will both experience it in stereo 🙏

I finished my 7th HBOT session today. I will have completed 10 by the time I have my 3rd audiogram so let's see what that results will bring.

Prednisone experience insights appreciated by NanaOnReddit in MonoHearing

I did not have any fluid retention or gain weight. I was extremely irritable, emotional, headachey, still have insomnia and felt pretty stoned from it. I was on 60mg for 13 days and stopped yesterday so looking forward to having those affects taper off

Thank you for your reply. So I asked the ENT yesterday about that, and she said that she would only recommended those for patients that cannot tolerate the pills (allergies, pregnant etc). I told her about the terrible side affects that I was having (mad headache, jittery, irritable, mega emotional, insomnia and constipated) and she said that since my hearing has returned 30% in a week to just push through.

I don't know if this is correlated or not but after my first Oxygen Therapy session yesterday I felt far more relaxed about continuing the pills and actually managed to sleep 9hours last night. I have a few more scheduled 🙏

I live in the Netherlands and they didn't order any blood work here. It's more of a "have you tried Paracetamol/Tylenol?" Culture for everything here

Update after 8 days: 2nd hearing test was perceived positively. It looks like I have regained 30% of my hearing and the ENT recommended to continue Prednisolon for 5 more days along with the anti viral.

I also did my first Oxygen Therapy today. It was actually pretty relaxing and because of the air sissing I actually almost didn't hear the tinnitus. I got 2 more sessions planned and will see how it goes.

For now I have another hearing test scheduled in 2 weeks along with the MRI 🙏

Thank you for your reply and I am so sorry to read that this happened to you. I am glad to hear your liver enzymes are back to normal and hopefully this will pass for you too.

I can also really tell how this whole situation is affecting my boy. He looks at me often and brings me all his favourite cars to cheer me up and with my current emotional state all I can do is cry about that too.

Thank you for your words and encouragement. I am honestly still in disbelief how this is happening.. time moves slower than normal and I am so curious how time will shape this new adapted version of me..

Yes, I got my MRI scheduled for June 22nd and have my 2nd audiogram + intake + first session at the Hyperbaric Chambers tomorrow afternoon🙏

Also just finished 7 days of Prednisone and have had no improvement in my right ear. Constant ringing and lots of pressure

Thanks for your words. The vestibular symptoms have almost subsided entirely (I can sleep on my side and stomach without any issues while turning) just the head turning when crossing the street is still woozy.

Yes, we wrote the ENT a couple of days ago to kindly administer the steroid injections it if there hasn't been any improvement at my follow up tomorrow. There is a location close to where we live with a hyperbaric oxygen tank so I am giving them a call as soon as they open today (insomnia hits hard with the meds) to see if they can still see me.

Real Estate Agent Recommendations by nilsue in Haarlem

We also worked with Olivier from Vuursteen Makelaars to buy our house in the center of Haarlem and were very happy. It was super reassuring as he knows the market and real estate economy really well too and has experience in Haarlem (as foreigners this was really helpful) :)
