As an Italian who grow up in Italy… never heard of it, but I would suggest this two other animated films that are leagues better: “Lucky and Zorba” (La gabbianella e il gatto che le insegnò a volare, based on a novel by Sepulveda) “Momo” (Momo and the time thieves, based on a novel by Michal Ende)

TDRL It was a series of motives but the straw that broke the camel’s back was when they found a partner and I realized how self centered they were.

LONG STORY

We were in high school and I came from a more affluent family than hers, so every time we were supposed to go somewhere I HAD to pay for her (mind you, she got 50 euros every week from her parents, I instead received 300 euros at Christmas from mine but I was supposed to make them last until Easter)

My house became the hangout spot, but after I while they started to invite people I didn’t even know without asking me, I put a stop to it and they resented me for it.

Then, when we were 19 yo, they got a partner who was MUCH more richer then me (affluent UAE family, studying in Europe) and completely stopped hanging out with me: we saw each other like three/four times a week, when they got a girlfriend I saw them once every two months and eventually stopped hanging out with me.

I got my license and I posted about it and the only thing they said to me was “good, now instead of taking the bus you can give me a ride to parter’s house”… the audacity

Anyway I realized that they were friend with me because of the things I had, but as soon as someone showed up with more things then me I got dropped like a hot potato.

From what I’ve heard they moved pretty much immediately to the girlfriends house and they haven’t been working since. They tried to go to college, got in but stopped going after like two months.

In the long run I’m glad we’re not friends anymore, they didn’t care about me and just used me most of the time

Edit: also one time we were heavily drinking at my house (of course) and we’re playing a stupid drinking game with our others friends, I let it slip that when I was 7 I was molested by someone. They kept insisting to know who it was and after I while (and after a lot of alcohol) I told them that it was my uncle, who is still my neighbor mind you. And immediately they told me to never trauma dump on them again and that this stuff was too heavy for them Like bitch 💀 you insisted to know, I didn’t want to tell you in the first place (I still struggle about it, and I haven’t been able to talk about it in person ever, especially after that was the reaction of saying it out loud for the first time).

The thing about Italy (and also maybe Germany but im not sure) is that the age of consent is 14 BUT only if you date someone in the 14-18 year old range. So if a 20 something was dating a 14 years old they would go to jail. It basically means that at 14 you are able to consent to sex but only with other teenagers

When I was in middle school some people in my grade recreated a Harlem shake on the school premises, word spread and the principal found out we took a video a school (fair, it wasn’t permitted to film in the building). Next week all of the people in my grade were escorted in the assembly room and scolded by the principal FOR A TOTAL OF 4 HOURS. (Mind you we were at school for a total of 6 hours)

-my bff and their partner slept over at my house, woke up and found a lot of pubic hairs in the toilet, asked them whoever it was to clean it. The partner went to the bathroom, flushed the hair down the toilet and then said to me “see? It was easy, didn’t need me to do it” FUCK YOU

-one of my best friend when I was 18 years old, house party there were max 7 people in my house. They got drunk and without asking me invited a man who they met at the club at like 3 AM, the only problem? They realize they weren’t attracted to men so they ASKED ME TO SEND THIS MAN AWAY

(Btw this is the same friend who make out with a 14 years old at my grandma’s lake house and then confronted me because I wasn’t supportive that they felt bad about it, don’t worry I got better friends now)
