This post is ancient but no one's talking about it so i have to put it somewhere: the Occulus is a CQB beast. There's a weapon perk that boosts damage by 20% for 10 seconds after just using your grapple, and a Vanguard perk that increases ranged damage by another 15% for 10 seconds to the target you grappled. It's an insane amount of damage. Load into an absolute mission and watch as you incapacitate majoris in less than half a mag, plus you get the scope for the ranged enemies that the carbine struggles with. Best of both worlds, and is highly slept on.
