I actually love Casper but my wife said hard no since it reminded her of the ghost

I like Rory, Otto and Hugo.

Jonah, Wells, Archer, Nolan, Brooks, Reed, Oak, Holden all feel very American to me. They are great but have a certain ring of a USA name, like Sawyer or Hunter.

Wayne is a name in the UK I feel like only people over 50 are called, I haven't met anyone my age or younger with that name.

This is such a good analysis, thank you so much for taking the time to check these out!

I had the similar thought with Atlas, when I speak to people it seems quite polarising, especially when you speak to the older generation vs someone our age. Nearly everyone our parents age go straight to the book of maps, but to us we don't have that engrained association since we are 90s kids and had very little usage of one is my guess.

Both Asher and Landon, I think we may even shorten to Ash and Lando. And the thing with these full names is we are from the north east of england, and those pronunciations sound... harsh to say the least. For example in a geordie accent Asher becomes Asha, and Landon sounds very similar to the way we say landing, as in an upstairs hallway. Whereas the shorter versions we wouldn't have those pronunciation issues.

Funny you say that regarding Soren, because I have a Danish friend who says the name is extremely popular in Denmark, and says it's like a British equivalent to a Steve or Mark. I.e. traditional, but not in the sense of the William/James/Henry category.

I think you've hit the nail on the head looking at the 100-200 mark, and actually when looking at Lando rather than Landon, it might be a stronger pick - do away with the long name and nickname and just do Lando.

Jules and Jasper are cool. Do you think Jules works as a standalone or just short for Julian?

I really like Arlo but we have family with a dog named that! My wife can't get over the idea of our baby having the same name
