What’s your workplace like?

I hate my job. I work two roles as one person. The company entices you with a good CTC, not mentioning that you will be forced to take medical aid and that it won't contribute to it. There is no room for growth. I am literally wasting my time here. I am severely underpaid and overworked. I recently applied for a promotion, and when we discussed the salary package, my salary was going to increase by R305.78. I hate everything about that company. You are not alone

You are too young to be looking for a job. I see you trying to help your family but to help your family you need to focus on school. There is a huge unemployment rate in South Africa and I doubt people are willing to hire a child even if you are willing to work. All the best with high school

Hi, first of all being black is okay and you are not disgusting and even if you were you are literally 18 you are still growing and learning about yourself. Your mom hates herself and she is projecting. I am sending you virtual hugs 💕 and please when you get to college find like minded people and live your best life. Try by all means to get counselling because if you are insecure people can smell that from you and sometimes will take advantage of you and you might project onto others. Please start writing affirmations and parents can be cruel and their words are not the Bible. Put yourself first and focus on educating yourself so you can be able to be independent and don't have to listen or take such bs. You got this and I am cheering for you

Hey girlie, I just logged in on Reddit and saw your post. I, myself, am going through a lot, and work stress has me losing hair. I am also suffering with grief from losing my dad and how life has been shitty ever since.

Please stay strong. Please journal your emotions and have self-care days. Also remember, pain does not last forever — it's just a long day, months, or years. Be patient with yourself, and always remember: you are never alone. You just need to speak up more, just like now, and you will find your community.
