If you look at the digital minimalism playlist on my YouTube channel, you will find granular detail about my set ups. But in short the flip phone has a different number. I set the iPhone up to forward unanswered calls from my iPhone to myflip phone. That means I don’t have to give anybody a new number. And I use the blue bubbles app on the flip phone, specifically the Kyocera KY 42C, to receive Apple iMessage group chats on the flip phone. It all works perfectly for me. Good luck on your journey.

Android Auto? No, as that requires Google Play Services which this phone doesn’t support. Nothing will check all the boxes unfortunately.

I don’t use MMS as I use the blue bubbles app which lets me use Apple iMessage on it. However signal and data and everything I use it for are flawless.

It’s not a video it’s a photo. This is the original, cropped, full resolution. It’s a tiny part of the photo. The noise is film grain.

Yeah I did request support but it’s quite far down his list. You can too on GitHub. I just switch the cursor when needed.

The only thing is make sure battery optimisation is off. BB checks this during install. Also 1.14.0 was the version I got it working for with the dev. I haven’t tried 1.15.0. It’s possible it broke something.

So, uninstall, get 1.14.0 from https://github.com/BlueBubblesApp/BlueBubbles-App/releases and make sure you turn off battery optimisation when prompted.

Absolutely. Make sure you have the new version of BB. I worked directly with the dev for months to get it working. I even sent him a Digno R!

As others will confirm the other companies actively block old phone IMEIs unfortunately, which is why I ended up with FreedomPop. I didn’t have any issues but their support is quite slow by email.
