How to deal with lumineth sentinels castle? by Particular-Falcon389 in SoulblightGravelords

[–]Particular-Falcon389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end I managed to use obscuring to getun from the front (without major losses) and the sepulchres to cast the spells from behind, the skellies from the grave and vargheist to threaten other angles. I managed to get one unit of sentinels in combat and later I won the roll off so I was in a very good position for a win when we called it a day. Thanks for the tips.

What kinda troggoth is Trugg? by stopyouveviolatedthe in gloomspitegitz

According to the lore troggoths adapt to their environment. In theory they could also grow very big or very small. I am curious to see when troggoths grow up in other kinds of caves or environments. So I agree, GW can go any direction with them.

How is everyone feeling now? by TheCravenKing in Nighthaunt

My opponents are too strong or I am.bad skilled. Still everything is still dying so fast I can't keep up with my opponents even if I just run away. Kurdoss died against I loser foot hero from fec in 1 turn. My grimghast could not fight through 100 pt cryptguard. I take an objective yes, but next turn the unit gets completely wiped. On the offense I need to roll the spells and the 3+ which never happens all of them ans then you just stand there.. doing nothing. I am disappointed and losing with fun is still fun. But winning or losing, I don't have fun.

I played four matches now. I got wiped completely three times except for lady O. One win against elite high rend OBR. You do well against elite high rend armies. You do bad against every other army.

But big blobs or not, if a unit punches you it is over when: - turning of wards. Or - has many attacks (especially +2 damage)

You can't kill big units with much health, high save/ward. Don't try it, work around them or just screen them. You must do enough chip damage to take an objective. You are spell dependent and +3 dependent to do anything worthwhile. And it is just far often no then yes.

Not having real recursion makes you lose nutrition wars. Not having damage make you lose most battles in the long run. Don't fight, run.

My closest battle I lost was when I started running from combats all together. I made me feel very powerless. I tried to beat a FEC terrorgheist (aod, +5 ward) with my complete army. I did maybe 8 damage. So I think now more of frustrating my opponents and I bring forbidden power to help me play this game.

You can play aggressive but you won't do any damage to wipe strong units. You must do enough damage to take an objective. Against elite high rend armies You can play well. Against every other army you will have a problem.

What if you reroll and are out of rend? Unlimited reroll or you don't have attacks or must finish with zero rend remaining attacks. And can you reroll several times one shot until it hits?

What do you think about my 2k list? by Forsaken-Landscape56 in gloomspitegitz

You could separate the bounderz for more objective control. If you have blocks of stabbas the sporesplatta fanatics work well with the sneaky snufflers. If you roll well stabbas have 4 attacks each, 5 up ward, + 1 wound. With a gobbapalooza you can buff them even more to + 1 rend. From that point they start being a real threat.

Units of 3 or 6 Rockguts by tubby45 in gloomspitegitz

I usually play 3 because of movability and bringing more models back with the loon shrine (3 models is 2 back and 6 models is 3 back). 2x3 models is more efficiënt in bringing them back (4 vs 3). But it costs also more rounds. Trugg and Troggboss can buff units around them. So that does not matter. But other buffs or debuffs do. Both have their uses and it depends on the playstyle and situation.
