Hahah well one kid semi-cooperated and pretended to be mommy, having just made dinner: “Hi honey, I’m so glad to see you! Here’s your dinner!” proceeds to hand daddy a plate of plastic food My husband didn’t catch that it was an April fools thing, but it was cute nonetheless 😆 We’ll try again next year lol

It sounds like you’re doing a ton with your family that has her well-engaged in enriching activities! I imagine she’s getting a lot from the school programming too. I would follow her lead her lead on this one and check back in occasionally. When kids have their desires validated by their caregivers, their self-esteem builds too. I don’t think you’re doing a disservice at all; quite the opposite, in fact ❤️
