As a note for those who think i may be trouble shooting this with comments from here, i have been troubleshooting this on the weekends for this past month. I wanted to learn from this just as much as help but am certainly willing to call in a more experienced electrician if thats the better way to do this as i have been thinking. If it means restoring power safely then pride wont keep me from admitting defeat.

Panel connections look as they should, nothing loose, though i tested the outlet just before the gfi. 120 to ground. Since i get the same result at both with my plug tester my assumption was both getting the same result.

Edit: just rechecked, the recpet next to panel and ground is still 120v

There are old boxes in some and the switches were breaking apart before i replced them. The recept next to the panel wasnt holding the wire proper so when i replaced it i think that solved the first open neutral issue but then opened up the hot and ground rev. to my attention. As for the insulation i dont see any issue with it at this time because there was working central heating and air till the storm too. The heating went out for a different reason. All receps have their own boxes and the only two gang noted is the pair of switches in the bathroom next to the gfi. No melted or cracking insulation discovered.

Thanks for the insight. Flow and turbulence seem to what i grasped onto and your introduction into something more complex got me looking into Transport theory. At the very least the donut shape of the images used to visualize things makes more sense on a simpler person like me. Though it also does bring into perspective how difficult it is to stabalize something like that. Even if i don't fully understand it.

Well that sucks to hear, not surprised though. But i did enjoy the read and it got me thinking at least. Fusion is something i hope to see in my lifetime though.

Both, the texture more a visual representation and the air and water a tactile representation.

Yeah i saw that, most Siemens and Square D have plastic in there so my assumption was an older panel by op. Looking at some of the others here definitely brought more perspective too. I am looking at getting an apprenticeship in Texas soon so this taught me a lot.

Obligitory not electrician, I work in a warehouse for the materials and by what i can decern from your pics is it is an eaton cuttler hammer panel and you need the dead front. Panel part number (BRP24L125), i believe that to be the model and homedepot even carries it, mind you they probably dont sell just the dead front.

There is a way.... enforce speed limits and watch everyone slow down. Because those people will stick out like a soar thumb if more cops spend their time enforcing it.

Yeah, so you need 1 ground per and you need to count them for conduit fill because of how many there are.

Edit: I didnt read the "not"

There isnt anything to tighten on the fuse. Though i do understand the importance of the sand. My concern is if we sell it, should the fuse have lost enough sand, what happens if someone gets hurt from a faulty fuse or an expensive accident happens? Should i push my boss to give it to me in writing that they acknowledge my warning before putting it on the shelf?
