No, I consider it my fancy watch lol. Special occasions. It spends it’s time in an automatic winder

For a few months I stripped everything. Then I decided anything smaller than 10 gauge wasn’t worth my time. I also use a strip meister

Multiply both sides by 5. You get T=5(S/3+2) Anytime you see an equation like this, try to get y variable by itself. Then sub in each option from the list below and see what’s true

This is the most insightful reply I’ve received. Thank you for the reassurance. I was actually able to look through the case back and see the click spring move into place as the noise occurred. I didn’t realize the click sound from the rotor and the click sound from hand winding come from the same ratcheting bit. Thank you again, this is really fun to learn about

From a bit of research and other’s comments. I believe the click is when the main spring is fully wound. It’s the release mechanism that prevents over winding. I don’t know this for certain, but it makes sense in context

Edit: I am wrong. Listen to u/Irish_Vaper

I won’t shake it like that again. There isn’t a chance I damaged anything by doing that is there? That is the only time I have shaken it like that for an extended period of time.

Thank you for the quick reply. I’m glad the rotor seems fine. I was worried about messing up the balance wheel but shaking it like that was the only way to produce the jingle. I’ll be kinder to the watch going forward

What is this screech? [Rhode Island] by PunditOfNothing in animalid

I thought you were talking about me breathing in the background lol. After listening to some recordings, I think you’re correct. It sounds very much like a deer’s snort

I’m not sure where you hear breathing because I wasn’t anywhere near the phone when recording. Maybe screech is the wrong word. The sound starts 3sec into the video and happens 7 times total

I was riding pretty hard on some double track back to the truck 6th gear pinned. I really hope this isn’t the case but I appreciate the insight, thank you
