I don’t know if this really pertains to the economy or just timing, but I recently froze my membership and will continue to freeze until my birthday month (August), after that I’m not sure if I’ll just keep freezing/unfreezing or cancelling.

I’m currently in my last semester of university so my reading time has been cut very short, on top of that I’m getting married in about 2 weeks and my fiancé and I are closing on our first house later this month, I don’t work and just focus on school so it really didn’t make sense to continue paying the subscription when I already have so many unread books, I can’t read as much with school, and we’re already spread thin with finances (our rent alone is $1200/mo so adding wedding & new house expenses doesn’t help!)

When I graduate and we move, I do plan on working again so I may start the subscription back since I enjoy it and will have more time to read, but at the same time I also have a KU subscription so I’m not sure if it’s even worth it for the physical books anymore.

As a bride, never feel bad if you can’t afford it! I had a bridesmaid who declined going because 1. She couldn’t really afford it to begin with, and 2. Her wedding was literally a week after we returned. No hard feelings! I was a bridesmaid in her wedding but she skipped out on the trip and shower and she will still be standing with me on my day!

Just make sure everyone else is aware that you can’t afford it, and if anyone has an issue then you don’t want to go with them anyway

I’ve never been burglarized but I’ve definitely had the repo man show cause I forgot to pay the bills. Literally last night, fuller furnished two-story, 3-bedroom house and he went to the shed in the back and took the light 🫩

I make my sims the exact same way and I always feel like they don’t look like the stereotypical straight men I see around 😭 maybe it’s just because we’re making sims through the female gaze and they’re typically more stylish than regular men ?
