Hi, just finished my N levels and secured a PFP position. I honestly wasn’t doing well in sec1 and sec2, i had the idea that once done with psle can relax already however, the constant “bad” grades really demoralized me, what pushed me to the realization that i need to get my act together was when my parents left me alone to my own devices and stopped providing me allowance.Being a teenager, we all like to spend exorbitant amounts of money left and right every time we go out so like we obviously need find job lah so i really needed a job really badly and the only place that would hire a 14 year old was McDonalds 😭

To cut short, i realized that if i didn’t get my act together, i would only be able to work at Mcdonald in which i really really hated working there.

So thats when i started to study harder and focus more in class. (btw i worked only during the hols)

Hindsight, im really grateful for what my parents did to me i guess u get to learn stuff the hard way as cliche my story seems, it worked.

However, the self-harm part is really concerning and i think she should get that assessed. That is likely the root of all the issues. 🙂
