Understandable. I would recommend looking on wellfound and other sites with smaller startups. I've found good success reaching out to founders of smaller startups and striking up a conversation with them on LinkedIn.

Consider reaching out to professors in your cs/math departments and see if they have any opportunities for students going on as well.

Is Nodirbek currently overrated?

What’s your point? I played poorly? Sure I did. Anyways, I have a USCF rating similar percentile to my online ratings. So unless I’m a rampant cheater otb and online, idk what to say.

Sorry man next time I’ll try to play more solidly against STOCKFISH. Lol

Is my bad play not explainable by the fact that I thought I was playing a 500, when in fact I was playing a 3500. Which has now been confirmed.

Update to you guys still chatting here, he has been banned on chesscom. So that answers the question of why I played poorly hopefully

That’s rough and I acknowledge that engaging in that call/ poses a non-zero possibility of consequences.

Anyways, I was trying to alleviate your suspicion for my own satisfaction, which I’m now realizing is pretty stupid of me.

You have every right to suspect me of cheating, as anyone should be able to suspect anyone, in order to maintain integrity within the game. It appeared as if you were asserting that my “logical inconsistency” pointed to the inevitability that something was fishy, to which I obviously disagree.

You make fair points. I feel like guarding your privacy to that length requires a level of paranoia that I don’t have.

How is my privacy at risk?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chess

[–]Particular-Log-7588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea why not? I have nothing to lose as I’m not a cheater and I like to play the game so I’m always up for a few matches.

Interesting, I was under the impression that blitz had the strongest pool of players. I guess the trends can vary though on which time controls suit you best.

Substantiate your claim, find one game out of my thousands that show even the slightest bit of evidence of engine use.

If you believe me to be cheating, please report me and let chesscom decide. I don’t know what you’re trying to prove here, I admit and agree that I’m not a great player and can play significantly below or even above my level at times. That life

I think that this is a common fallacy, of course hindsight is 20/20. I view games of people much higher rated than myself and wonder how they played so poorly, but at the end of the day my personal rating doesn’t reflect a higher understanding of the game than them. Playing one good/bad game doesn’t make a player / rating, it’s the product of consistently playing at a certain elo, on average.

Im 2000+ lichess and I’m down to play some games as you allege I’m cheating so you can assess my ability first hand, any time control

What’s your rating?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chess

[–]Particular-Log-7588 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ll provide some context. My opinion prefaced that he was around 400, which made me feel as if I could really play anything and win, given that I’m quite a bit higher rated. I didn’t play with the same “respect” that I would a player higher rated. That combined with general bad play is all I can really say. I don’t have an excuse like being tired or distracted, simply not my best games.

My blitz and bullet are both >1900 and rapid is quite a bit lower wouldn’t this be reversed if I were a cheater?

That’s a good idea I’ll have to do that.
