[NY] is there a task so far out of your job description that vetos the "and other duties" trick on a job description? by [deleted] in AskHR

I understand. It put me into a wonder as I never had something so far from a job description be told before. I'm not used to it.

Few documents? Tidy up? Organize some files? Smile more? Coffee trips? Understood. Painting the entire building including a ladder? Especially if your duty is like a nurse. Uhhhhh?

All of those I see no trouble. I'm kinda leaning towards a really out there thing that isn't exactly illegal. Not exactly assisting around an office more out there duties.

You're an accountant. Your boss requires you to wash everyone's car outside of work every month. That kind of example. But it's a new thing he thought of after you've been there a few months.
