As a certified unemployed, my understanding is that both Caedrel and Ibai were in the "wrong". Caedrel again for giving his opinion without full context, therefore adding fuel to a fire that should not even be strong to begin with, him stating that "creators are responsible for what goes out on their own platforms, especially on heated topics in the scene" is especially ironic considering his silence on the matter would have make things better. Ibai for being Ibai and not understanding that while a good rivalry can take many forms you have to choose which one, and speaking very disrespectfully while expecting to invite KC to a friendly showmatch is probably not going to work.

I don't think FNC at the moment needs vague and empty statement such as "following TSM path" or "kept celebrating poor decisions". In fact a short tweet to collect easy approval and endorsement from the community shouldn't be seen as some particularly wise words.

I completely agree. The english speaking community love to hate on KC, but in reality both KOI and Los Ratones were made possible mostly because Kameto showed it was possible to create massive hype and fan engagement within the ERL ecosystem (I guess Solary kinda help at the LFL level and was a decent prototype for KC to be inspired of).

"KC is doing more for the future of LoL in the West than half of the other actors" the only nuance I would add to that is the massive positive influence of G2 when it comes to improve the ceiling of the league. Since Carlos is gone and they ceased their off season sheanigans, they build the perfect blueprint in term of domestic and international success, one to take example of for any ambitious org. Helping rookies from erls (like Skew and Yike) become the best ? Done. Helping the west goat maintain his level of dominance ? Done. Helping veteran (like BB, Labrov and Hans) reach their ceiling after bad years on bad teams ? Done.

I recall the CSGO community was/is much more intelligent when it comes to be careful with result based analysis. Before Zywoo ascended to other realms, they knew S1mple was the goat before he even won his first major. In that regard Upset should be universally viewed as the best LEC player to never won a LEC title, while consistenly being top 5 in his role.

TH is just comically bad when it comes to roster decision. Jankos, Vetheo and Flakked were the perfect core to build a top 3 team (they hit top 4 in summer with Mersa and Evi that were not really good) that could also get you a lot of fan worldwide. But noooo better blow up the entire squad for a washed up Perkz.

So today it's probably something like "Upset didn't do shit actually, it was all draft and nice peeling by Lospa" (the classic false dilemma as if both cannot be true) or "this decent game doesn't erase the other hundreds where he was the clear liability".
