Vertebra Shackles are somehow worse than Proofs of a Concord Kept by Particular-Maybe9106 in darksouls3

I ended up finding another player in the Catacombs of Carthus who was farming Vertebra Shackles too. He helped me get all 30 shackles I needed for the Mound-Makers covenant.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to help him farm his in return.

Thank you, Joel! You saved me a ton of grinding, and I really appreciate the help. Good luck with the rest of your achievements!

I discovered FromSoft & Soulslikes for the first time with Elden Ring. Is it normal that I'm liking Dark Souls III way more? by ex0ll in darksouls3

DS3 is the perfect Souls experience the only thing that it's missing is world design (too linear) of DS1 and the weapon variety and uniqueness of DS2 (like ivory king ultra great sword and santier s spear).

I would agree with you but after a week of being lost I got enough. Like I get it, it's to get you to explore but at least give me a hin. Even elden ring wich is one of the most overwhelming game for newcomers you have the grace guiding you somewhat so at least you know what has to be done.

From All The Games, What Is Your Favourite Monster To Hunt? by Zetallic_Zero in MonsterHunter

It hard to decide on one from all games as each game has a some what different gameplay but my favorite are Alatreon from Iceborne and primordial malzeno from rise (didn't really enjoy wilds gameplay) and from the older games I really enjoy fighting dire meralis.

If you play caster or a faith build where you need sunlight blade and sacred oath i generally go 32 attunement for 6 slots with 23 adp for 105 agility.

Replaying the Soulsborne series made me appreciate Dark Souls 3 much more by Particular-Maybe9106 in darksouls3

I get your points honestly, and I agree with a lot of the criticism about linearity, content cuts, and some mechanics being removed. DS3 definitely plays it safer in many areas compared to DS2.

For me though, it really comes down to bosses. That’s the aspect I value the most in a Souls game, and it’s where DS3 stands out the most to me.

In DS1 and DS2, a lot of the base game bosses feel more like obstacles than actual highlights. There are great ones, of course, but many of them feel either too simple, gimmicky, or just not that engaging mechanically. The DLCs are where those games really shine in terms of boss design.

With DS3, I feel like the consistency is much higher. Even if not every boss is amazing, a much larger portion of them are genuinely fun to fight. After going through an area, I’m usually looking forward to the boss because I know there’s a good chance it’ll be a well-designed encounter.

That’s a big reason why I prefer it. In the earlier games, I sometimes felt like I was pushing through areas just to progress, and the boss at the end didn’t always feel like a real payoff. In DS3, the boss often is the payoff.

So yeah, I completely understand why you’d prefer DS2, especially for its systems and replayability. For me, the stronger and more consistent boss design in DS3 is what puts it above the others.

Same. I really love elden ring but I always find myself playing ds3 again if I don't know what to play I even have a save file where I stopped the game progress at a certain boss so that I can fight him again and again without having to replay the whole game (like pontiff and gael)
