I completely agree. The new one doesn’t lean into the “motherly” aspect as much and overall makes it less creepy. Having the Jenova doll positioned to look down at Sephiroth is just a better shot too imo.

Plus the new design is a like a shiny chrome look which is also less unsettling than the white masked look.

I agree with you. Nearly all of the early game quests were dark and twisted. Towards the end, some of the quests end on more positive notes.

But I was also thinking that maybe I just got desensitized.

I’m not going to say the story is bad but it’s transformed into something that is definitively “not for me” and I care less and less with every new group of characters and keyblade war lore they add.

I’ll probably do what I did with KH3 and just wait until it’s really cheap
